Hearing he couldn’t walk off makes me think it is severe high sprain or something broken.

Either way I’m thinking he won’t be out the entire year.

Klay was such an iron man until last season. I thought of his nickname too late:

Severe high sprain or broken bone would be great news compared to the alternative

On the other hand I was able to walk off when I tore my achilles. I told the folks I was playing hoops with that I thought I had tore it, and they said no way, that I'd be screaming. But these kinds of injuries feel differently to different people. I'm no tough guy but I wasn't in a lot of pain and could still walk.

Yup, remember when Klay tore his ACL? He was trying to go back into the game

That would be great news. But Marc Spears is reporting that an NBA source in the know about his injury just said "not good" when asked about it. I don't think they would say that about an ankle sprain. My fear is an Achilles.

That’s why I’m thinking it’s not Achilles or ACL. Most times people can walk with those.

Unless it’s bone and ligament damage. I really hope not.

Having not seen the injury and with no background in medicine, I think its a high ankle sprain.

I've definitely had ankle sprains where I couldn't walk. I've had them where I couldn't *sleep*.

It fits the limited information we have. I’ve seen my fair share of ACL and achillies injuries and ankles are usually more immediate in terms of pain and mobility.

Fractured tibia and fibula is another horrendous lower leg injury. That injury will keep a guy out for at least a year and not back to normal for two years, if ever.

Can confirm. Rehabbing from that now. 10 inch plate plus a tibial plateau rebuild. Couldn’t even move the leg for 6 weeks. Hopefully it’s not that.
