I think Bev would be funny on the Warriors, but size or a wing makes more sense to target to me.

Uh, he's going to be suspended for a year probably.

If not longer

So much bad publicity for the team.

If a team tried to sign him I suspect the NBA would not approve the contract.

Id be shocked if we started the season with 3 rookies. Even I, as a guy who likes to both have and eat cake, cant see that working out well for us.

As what? Rotation players?

I think expecting more contribution out of 2nd and 3rd year high lotto picks is not unreasonable.

Last year we had basically 2 roster slots that gave us no minutes (Wiseman and Iguodala). Then two high end rookies.

We’re talking about going into camp with 3 (not high end rookies) and starting with only 14 slots. Then add to that uncertainty around Wiseman - seems extremely risky.

Additionally we can only sign one of our 2nd rounders to more than 2 year deal so… yeah seems risky. Would prefer to Gleague stash him or stash overseas.

Thomas Bryant was rumored as a target for the Celtics. There may be quite a lot of competition for him.

G-league stash ... if Gui is under contract he can't be stashed in the GL. I don't know if Brazil counts as "overseas" but he could stay there for sure.

Isn't Bryant a bad defender? Does he really fit what we need? He can shoot a little bit, but he's not a sniper either.
Is Gorgui Dieng still available? He could be an alternative. Good shooting big.

Didn't we start last season with 3 rookies? That seemed to work out okay.

EDIT: I guess technically speaking we didn't. Wiseman wasn't a rookie per se'. But I can't see how it would be any worse to start with 3 rookies than what we did last year.

I think it's asking a lot to have (basically) 3 second year guys and 3 rookies on the main roster with aspirations of being a title favorite/title contender. Especially if we're expecting to load manage our big 3, I'd hope we would only have two of those slots given to rookies.

I guess where I'm coming from is there's no need to rush our rookies. We can stash Gui and bring Baldwin/Rollins along slowly like we did with Moody. And given we used part of the MLE, I wouldn't mind if we left slot 15 open for a buyout guy later in the year. So I'm hoping we go vet leadership with our last couple roster slots.

I think one more big and we should be set.

I'd happy if we got Juancho. Ecstatic with Thomas Bryant.

Realistic scenario is we don't get either of them, though.
