 Turns down 12-13m from the team that hands out the worst contracts ever, and now is looking squarely at a MLE deal.

The teams interested: The Kings, the Bucks, the Hawks.

And to think, 1.5 years ago we'd be in this position and some posters would want to re-up this clown :clown:

That was because he wanted to play for his fellow comrades team, Prokhorov.

We're about to see a new level of Monta delusional buffoonery. Could get to either Steve Francis or, gulp, Stephon Marbury level.

Kobe + Swaggy P = chuckfest to the limit. :o

All they need to win that title now is Monta Ellis.

I think Nick young will be fine. Last year the Lakers were in desperate need of someone that could get off their own shot. Nick Young will be this person.

That's like dating Rosie O'Donnell because you want someone who likes to write.

Guess Dallas got the big FA signing. They are going to be the next GSW, avoid at all cost.

How stupid is it to not sign OJ Mayo and now ends up paying more for Monta? Looks like Mayo and Monta are still connected to one another... through trade rumors, and now through FA signings.

How stupid is it to not sign OJ Mayo and now ends up paying as much for Calderon? Looks like Mayo and Monta are still connected to one another... through trade rumors, and now through FA signings.

If any of you could have either Jose or Monta for the same amount of money, who would you have? I think I'd pick Calderon. Might not be as skilled as Ellis, but he doesn't have the IQ of a rock and is aware of his strengths and weaknesses.

I think its pretty damn terrible that Cuban declined to re-sign Tyson Chandler to preserve a run at free agency (Deron, Dwight, CP3) and comes out with Monta Ellis and Jose Calderon.

He also dealt Nash for being too expensive.

Cuban is a hell of an entertainer, but let's be frank - without Don Nelson serving him Dirk on a silver platter, he'd be in the running for worst owners in the game right now.

It's interesting how much Cuban's reputation has benefited from Dirk. He has a "mad genius" aura across the NBA, but despite having one of the most dominant bigs of the last one and half decades he only has one ring to his name. I don't remember the last time he made a move that wowed me.

Tyson Chandler was a lucky pickup since he had fallen from grace after his injuries at NOH and just happened to re-blossom with them. Then he let him walk.
