Steph Curry is more overrated. Monta gets no love anywhere. I read the thread were RealGMers were calling him a 6th man and 3rd option lol.

Monta is so under-rated it's not even funny. He was treated like a scrub all last year.

Monta got thrusted into the #1 option role and at the same time asked to handle PG duties at times. Monta's best role is being the 2nd option (or even 3rd). See how he did with Baron on the team (or even SJax). He was efficient and all he needed to worry about was run the floor and score. He is only considered overrated because of his poor efficiency last year. You let Curry and Lee be the #1 options, Monta is going to put up better numbers this year, not points wise, but overall efficiency will improve.

Who the hell is overrating Monta? Everybody is saying that he has inflated numbers because of Nelson's system and can't play the 2 because he's too short. The former is pretty true but the latter is just lazy/ignorant NBA Live-based evaluation.

I have to say Bosh is #1 overrated. Paid like a superstar, but does not produce wins. So he becomes a dog and follows Wade.

WP48 is the same stat the rates Lee top 5 in the nba, and Murphy top 10.

Berri should do a most overrated piece on his own stat.

Let me know who's overrating Ellis or Maggette. Definitly nobody around Real GM. GSW paid major millions to 2 scrubs to get out of Mag's deal. Meanwhile,Mags per minute point production ranked #7 at over 51% FG......and everyone else who could claim that, is regarded as a star.

Ellis scored 25 per, was #2 in steals, had asst, is young, moderate flat contract.....anywhere else the fans and team hype him as a star. On the W's, playing well just makes a guy the top trade bait as nobody hates Warriors as much as Warrior fans and management.

Again and again, some lusted for iggy. Iggy scores less, chucks 3s is bigger but older and not as fast...also a HUGE $ increase.

Latest lust is Melo. At least you can say Iggy does D and passes...and is getting less than $20 mill.
Melo, like Maggette, is a scorer. Both are about equal on rebounding and passing...with Mags, surprisingly having the edge. Melo would have a bit of an edge on D but is more apt to take a few plays off. Net effect, neither is a plus on D or awful.

Melo is certainly a scorer but, so are Ellis and Maggette.

Some guy on the Net or TV TELLS YOU Melo is a "Superstar" and you all go "MOO " and get in line.
Some guy on Real GM says Maggette is "Evil" and y'all say "Moo" and there's the herd consensus.
AR, Beans,Monta, were guys many thought of as UNTOUCHABLE a while back..when ironically, each had done way less. Now.....it's just wholesale meat. MOO. Join the herd.

Curry's turn will come.
CENSORED... No comment.

Monta went from underrated to overrated very quickly... now he's back to underrated...

He hasn't done anything stupid yet, so its safe to say this is his best season in 3 years so far. I think he's due for a comeback season as Steph's little buddy.

Monta with fewer touches and less responsibility in creating for others via a PG role is an intriguing thought. He could feasibly put up 20/4/4 with 2 steals and 2 TOs IMO.

You guys are all overrating Monta right here... just because he has a high ppg, but the fact is he's dominating the ball, chucking at a low percentage and turning the ball over. He's hurting the team and yet people talk about him as a borderline all star = overrated.

48% from the field isn't chucking. It's a scorer who had no other option but to carry the load on a team that had no functionality, and no structure. Turnovers are also a pretty common facet of Dubs guards, because the system we have encourages risky, transition passing. Monta Ellis is no Kevin Martin.

The Warriors can't turn the ball over and win constantly. If they can keep the turnovers down to around a dozen or less a game, they are hard to beat. This might be true with any team, but since the Warriors are not a good rebounding team, they don't have as many second shot attempts or keep the other team from getting offensive rebounds. This makes their offensive possessions more valuable. They have been able to offset their rebounding deficit with steals.

I'm hoping Ellis, can get back to where he takes care of the ball, but we all know he is going to cough it up a couple of times a game.
