Aww. Was hoping we'd find a spot for him this season.

Ben Wallace looking for a team. If we didn't have Beans on the team I wouldn't mind signing him as a backup/mentor to Ezeli but he'll probably choose a contender like LAC

What exactly is LAC contending for?

Warriors will have a better record than the Clips. Mark me down for that.

For a spot in the WCF. If they get the right matchups they could definitely make some noise. They match up with OKC pretty well, if OKC beat LAL before the WCF. Clips are very good team. Their biggest weakness last year was offense and they're getting back Billups and added Crawford who can either help (see: ATL) or hurt (see: Portland). They have more time to get in rhythm with an offseason, and young guys like Blake and Deandre could definitely improve.
They beat a very good Memphis team last year and were so beat up by the end of it that they got throttled by a rolling Spurs team that had gotten some good rest after sweeping the Jazz. Clippers with the right big man depth could be very dangerous. Signing an aging and oft-injured Caron Butler to an expensive contract is really all that's holding them back right now, as they could get more big man depth.

If healthy I think I agree.

Clips won 60% of their games last year, which would translate to 49 wins. And they should be better this year with Billups and Butler healthy. Lamar Odom could bounce back pretty easily being back in LA. The addition of Grant Hill was also nice. I don't see us passing them, unless Bogut and Curry literally play well enough to make the All-Star game.

For clarification, "contending" means "championship contender." And right now, with a capped out and more or less set roster for the next several years, the Clippers are in contention to be in contention for a western conference spot that would send them into championship contention. And even that's shaky.
For a team brimming with talent they sure look like a mish mash of poorly fitting pieces.

The things is, if the matchups fall in the right place, I think they could contend for a title. I don't think they could beat the Lakers, but if LAL got eliminated by OKC in the 2nd round or something (with injuries going into the season and an aging roster I'm not sure LAL is concerned with getting a top 2 seed) then I think Clips match up well with OKC. They also still have an amnesty clause to use IIRC.
I don't think they're about to be the Pacers of the West at least

The L.A. Clippers are a contender. Arguably the best big man in the NBA, the best PG in the NBA, and an awesome supporting cast (Chauncey Billups, Lamar Odom, DeAndre Jordan, Grant Hill, Ronny Turiaf etc.)

I mean, are we really going to criticize LAC for not being a "championship contender"?
Who the hell thinks we have a better shot at it than they do? I'm not smoking that crack pipe just yet.

Who is arguing that Blake Griffin is the best big man in the league and where can I find him to punch him in the face?

Hopefully he meant to say best "young" big man. I'd still take Love over him though if he's still considered young. Blake has potential to be one of the best big men if he can upgrade his jumper and improve his defense. He's a very good ball handler and an underrated passer to go with his freakish athleticism and good rebounding. But any team that has CP3 (a top 5 player in the NBA) along with another all-star and solid supporting cast is definitely a contender. If their role players get hot, they can beat almost any team in the west.

I'd probably take Blake over everyone not named Dwight Howard or Anthony Davis. Especially on our team. We'd be a serious contender if we upgraded from Lee to Blake.
