Post#1 » by Chris Porter's Hair » Tue Dec 31, 2013 10:45 pm

Well, well, well. Look at that. Feel free to discuss the upcoming playoff game in this RealGM approved thread. Enjoy.

P.S. Vernon Davis is the king

This is only a temporary fix and the permanent one is likely coming in 2014.

Enjoy and good luck this weekend.

I don't understand...a temporary fix for what? Our lack of activity on the football forum?

Looks like Rodgers might not play. And unfortunately I mean Carlos, not Aaron.

Kaep playing better since Crabtree came back and seems to be looking to hurt teams more with his legs now which helps open up the passing game. I think we can get the win in Lambeau but it's going to be tough beating the Pack a 4th straight time and this one under some likely extreme weather conditions.

A big deal....it's expected to be - 5 degrees at kickoff with enough wind to make it NASTY.

At that point...even if you are used to Wisconsin winters... that is COLD. If it's 15 degrees.. that's an advantage to GB...but minus 5 and some wind chill.... ain't nobody ready for that.

I'm fairly confident that the 49ers are going to win. The Packers defense is the worst out of any team in the playoffs and that unit will be without their best player in Matthews. Seeing how the last 3 games have gone with most of the same guys on the field, the matchups are certainly in the 49ers favor.

I'm never fully confident when Aaron Rodgers is on the other side. That said, we seem to be constructed for games in conditions like this.

I'm never fully confident at Lambeau - do people forget when we used to get our behinds handed to us against Favre?

I'm not scared by Rodgers. He's going to put up a ton of points, but who cares? Your defense needs to stop us and one slip up means Aaron packs up and heads home. He really irks me too, not following through on his bet with Alex Smith to wear our jersey. What a poor sport.

Watch out for some dirty play by the GB defense, they've been saying they're going to hit Kap whenever (remember the Matthews hit?). This will come down to Gore v. Lacy and our defense v.s Rodgers. Kap has to Alex Smith this one and do just enough to not lose.

If you are so confident, then go to Vegas and bet a million on the game LOL.

I don't know people can be so confident in a win when all players can't play to their potential in a perfect weather condition. These guys are going to be dropping the balls, turnovers, etc due to the weather.

The biggest question is about Kaep ability to play in 0 degree temperature.

If GB is going to score a lot of points against the 49ers defense, then I don't think the 49ers offense can score a lot of points in GB.

Niners dont seem to much care if it's cold. They may have difficulties but they ARE doing THEIR game (mostly)

We broke the huddle coming out of halftime with like 10 seconds on the play clock. How does that happen.

I'm not very confident there either. I'm not very confident when we have trouble getting plays called in time and guys don't know where to line up. But we won, so thats what matters.

Beating Green Bay, IN GREEN BAY, where we have never won a playoff game, and beating them 4 times in a row is a much much bigger challenge than going into Carolina and winning, imo. We should have won that game at home anyways.

We didn't have Crabtree last time we played those guys and Vernon left in the first half with a concussion. I can't wait to see us get another crack at Carolina.

Carolina is a much better team though. At any rate, any win is a good win.

Agreed that Carolina is a better team but I still would take Rodgers + cold weather + at home against almost anyone usually
