It really is up to Giannis to control where he wants to go, so it starts with him turning down his supermax. Likely, the Bucks will want to keep him and not lose him as an UFA in 2021; See Malcolm Brogdon. With Giannis, the Bucks still control his last year, so they can play hard ball and force him to play for them next year. However, this is how AD did it. With AD, he turned down his player's option and then made a trade request. The Pelicans wanted the NBA to investigate for tampering. Giannis will have to something similar and give a list of teams. Likely, the Bucks cry tampering. Before that we'll know how things are shaking out via Giannis' agent -- https://basketball.realgm.com/info/agent_clients/Alex-Saratsis/120 -- and through the media.

Obviously, the Warriors will do all they can to facilitate a trade if Giannis wants them and think he can win a championship with them. This is where the teams like the Heat and Raptors will be forced into a trade situation should the Warriors or other suitors start talking with Giannis and his agent.

Anyway, here's a good time to watch the video for #2 again. Future All-Star, tall, pure PG LaMelo Ball could be just what the Bucks would be looking for. Or even superstar Anthony Edwards as a wing. Let the trade talks begin.

No way we’re trading Bam, Jimmy or Herro for Giannis when we can keep our core players and just sign him in free agency. It wouldn’t make any sense at all.

Bam....is a stiff offensively. The NBA world just watched him suck for an entire game...and only when Olynk came in did the Heat do something offensively.

He's yet another athlete that everyone freaks out about until he has to actually do something with the basket ball.

Don't want him.

I don’t think the Bucks will trade Giannis. I think the discussion is moot.

The Bucks will likely try for another ship next season by adding to Giannis and Middleton. I'm not sure who they can get. It really depends on what Giannis does. He'll ask for a trade and if they refuse, then he has the leverage to leave as an UFA and the Bucks get nothing after next season. The Bucks could be willing to deal before the trade deadline. The Warriors will have a chance to see how Wiggins and the new Shaun Livingston plays with their core. They could pick up an expiring trade piece like James Johnson for the TPE during the off season to use in a subsequent trade for a big man like Davis Bertans.

But he’s a stiff offensively.

I just came here because I wanted to see if you guys would want Iggy back since Crowder has been playing well for us so far in the playoffs.

Not sure of you heard, but we have an under the table agreement with Jae Crowder for the full MLE starting next season.

#sauces

That would be a good pickup for you guys but I doubt he’ll leave. We own his bird right. Plus him and Butler were teammates in college, they have great chemistry together. I expect us to give him and Dragic a big one year contract so we can have cap space next year.

I’m a big fan Curry fan so looking at the Warriors you guys are missing players on the wing. The more players you have there the better chance you’ll have to compete(similar to the Clippers). We were able to get pass the Bucks because we were able to throw Bam, Crowder, Butler, Iggy and Derrick Jones Jr. at Giannis. They’re also able to knock down some open threes too(except for Jones JR.)

To shift the topic since Giannis is gone, what about trading for AD? He has a player's option and can be an UFA. The Lakers experiment could come to a sudden end should they lose in the second round. People assume he'll stay in LA. I'm not sure how the Ws would do it if they can't S&T? Any way to get AD?

Because? You didn't watch him clog u the middle for Miami? You didn't see Kelly come in and make the offense work again?

If it's dumb to not want a guy that has zero offensive (and no...dunking by lobs is not a big time skill...most centers can do that) skills from the center spot....poor passer...apparent low hoops IQ...then yeah that'd be me

He was my original dream acquisition. Probably the only real big time option that would really elevate the Warriors to that dominant dynasty level.

But I just don't see him leaving a Laker team that looks to make it to the WCF at least.

AD would be a bigger longshot than Giannis. I don't think I've seen a trade thread on him. He would have to molest Bronny Jr. for him to leave.

This is a really dumb hill to die on. Bam has been the center point of Miami's offense. He averages a large amount of touches per game and is a brilliant passer at the top of the key. He averaged 5 assists a game this year. You're embarrassing yourself right now.

This article does back up our thinking that improving 3-pt shooting is IMPORTANT for the Warriors. This was true in trying to get Giannis for his D and rebounding as the ultimate Pippen -- https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29839123/nba-playoff-success-never-dependent-3s.

Thus, getting a Buddy Hield (better 3%-age than Brad Beal), Davis Bertans, Devonte Graham, Bojan Bogdanovic, Tim Hardaway Jr, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Danillo Gallinari, and more should be a priority. Especially at PF/C or stretch 4 position.

Or we can draft a 3point sniper. There is plenty in this draft

I'm sorry but this is a really bad take. You think he averaged 16 points a game just off catching lobs. He's also a really solid passer. You can frown on game five but I easily can point to how impactful he was the first 3 games which put a stranglehold on the series.

Bam is the biggest reason I bet the heat on a futures bet back in early December..

He’s a fabulous player..
