Iguodala can shoot good enough, the issue is that he passes up too many shots.

Iggy shoots as well as he does because he tries not take any contested shots at this point in his career... and I'm fine with it. I'm all in on Iggy. You don't have to sell me, but he is a marginal shooter who contributes majorly in other ways. That's what Evans was drafted to become. He needs a reliable open gym corner 3. That's all.

Am I the only one who is not impressed with Evans so far? Show me something, even in pre-season.

I think you're the only one. I have loved his defense, his propensity to step up and just take the ball away from a ballhandler is cool. Dude is strong.

The only issue I have with Evans is that his shot is a mess. It may take some time for it to stabilize, but his floor game is good enough to overcome his lack of a shot for now.

The undrafted kid looks way better and more athletic. Alfonzo Mckinnie

You mean the 26 year old who graduated in 2015 looks more polished than a 5 year younger late pick rookie before his first pro game? I'm shocked!

McKinnie has shown a great motor and good activity...However, I still don't see any other skills than that yet. We shall see. I like his size at wing, and you always love a good motor. I want to see him put the ball on the floor, shoot jump shots, and pass to open shooters.

"The Golden State Warriors have signed Deyonta Davis while waiving Will Cherry.

Davis was the No. 31 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies.

He actually reminds me of Kelenna Azubuike.. I think he's a player and can probably contribute in McCaw's absence in similar capacity as a Justin Holiday did in 2015.

Evans will be fine in time as well. But I presumed we were just prognosticating this next season.

If I recall correctly, a few posters around here thought the Warriors should've drafted Davis over Jones. Now they have both. I guess it's a step toward Davis going to Santa Cruz.

Small sample size, but Evans hasn't shown anything so far. I don't really understand what he is. Meanwhile, Omari Spellman looking nice. Reminds me of Big Vic 8-)

A few flashes of good man and team defense. Nothing else yet.

Evans is a long-term project. It's not like he was a lottery pick.

And now I see he's been assigned to Santa Cruz. He'll probably be up and down for a while, give him a chance to play.

Meyers obviously. But since Kirk Lacob said they were discussing trading UP to get him, obviously he must have liked him as well. And remember that they had Draymond watch him to confirm that he agreed that Evans' defense would fit in with the team. Evidently Dray gave him a thumbs up. Not sure that proves Dray has a "crush" on him, but he obviously agreed with the pick.

He can’t get consistent minutes so maybe send him to Santa Cruz?

Or would it crush the confidence of a first rounder?

Next draft pick needs to be an offensive player. Some guy who’s questionable defensively so he’s a late pick.
