Find a wing who can shoot. No idea who that would be, but it doesn't look like the buyout market will have much available. And even if it did, expect the Rockets, Lakers, and the eastern conference top teams to be first in line.

Gortat for depth maybe. Not much is available.

A shooter for the bench and a big. I’d cut a player to make it happen. Unfortunately the best 2 wing shooters(Matthews and Ellington) are off the market. Crossing my fingers another shooter gets bought out...

A 3-D wing would be good or another big body to deal with big centers. Kanter could help a lot with scoring off the bench and grabbing Andre's and Sean's misses.

Kanter is a total dick that KD doesn't like. How exactly is that helpful?

There really aren't any wings out there so far but there are some flawed bigs so I guess I'd go with that.

Looks like Wes Matthews isn't available anymore. I don't see any wing that can shoot 3s and play passable defense. I wouldn't mind Gortat if he has another 1.5 years left in him. If KD leaves we will be back to 14-16 style which means we need a lot of screens to free up Steph and Klay. Gortat has always been a leader in screen assists and maybe he can back up Jones a little bit next season.

He can also be helpful this season because if we reach the Finals and face the Raptors/76ers/Bucks, they now all have big bodies in Gasol/Emblid/Miotric etc.

Robin Lopez, Gortat.

I still would like an extra wing for defense or offense to be honest. Jeff Green, Brewer etc. Bodies to take on James Harden & Lebron & Kawhi, & tatum

If....if we need a wing who can shoot they most likely will just bring Damion Lee up for the remainder of the season at some point.

Getting a big man for insurance is most likely how things will shake out.

Well, c'mon. He's a big who can regularly get double doubles at a minimum salary. That is the part that would potentially be helpful.

A lot goes into any such decision. We might decide he's not a personality fit, and it isn't worth the risk. But it isn't a crazy idea. In the world of guys you can get for a minimum salary, he's almost surely on the upper end of possibilities. I'd prefer Robin Lopez; better defense, not as much offense (which we don't really need), and less personality risks.

I'd probably go
1) Lopez
2) Gortat
3) Kanter
27) Swaggy P

How likely is it that they offered more than several other teams?

I thought OKC was as capped out as any other team.

They are heavily into the luxury tax, but as of today they still have about $3.5M of the taxpayer MLE remaining they can spend on players. Beats the snot out of $650K or so on a pro-rated vet minimum for a 7 year player. Then again, Morris may have signed for the vet minimum.

Supposedly several other teams were after him.

Maybe they offered him the most playing time, since he's going to be a free agent and he wants to improve his numbers.

I don’t see it with Lee. He’s a below avg regular season player. I’d love for our last roster spot for someone who can contribute in playoffs

Robin Lopez would be game over for the league for me. Not that it already is but having a backup big as a safety net is nice.
