I guess other teams can and are willing to offer more to bought-out players?

May not be talking about a great difference in money.

Or else they hate the Warriors players?

Playing time is a big factor. Wes Matthews, for instance, was guaranteed a starting job with the Pacers. Ellington signed with Detroit because he could get playing time. These guys are looking to build a resume for their free agency this summer. Warriors are pretty much limited to end of career guys, looking to provide a little help and go for a ring, maybe on the last year or two of their career.

was hoping to add another big or a wing who can shoot but it doesn't look like any of value will be available. Kerr said on a local radio interview he didn't see an available player who could add a need so that seems to rule out Gortat.

Well, here's a list of all available free agents as of yesterday, tell me who the gems are, hidden or not.

Given Lee is not on the main roster, releasing him doesn't open up an additional roster spot.

Did you know that Lee is shooting close to 50/40/90 in the G League? Averaging 20 points per game.

While he is not ideal, he could be a potential bench piece down the road. Problem is getting these guys into a continual rotation. We just don't have that luxory at this point, the stakes are to high.

Everyone complaining about the bench has to realise that the situation we have makes it very difficult just have young guys learn on the fly without a consistent rotation spot.

There are ups and downs with bench guys. It's a specialist spot.

We don't have the money to go out and buy a bench guy like Eric Gordon. Or Lou Williams.

However we should jump on guys like Kennith Faried when they come available. Promise these guys who have been proven studs that they will get minutes.

I would pick up Gortat at this point just to be prepared. I think he's more skilled than others do, but he's a big body full of 6 fouls.

Also with Looney having pelvic soreness I'm a little worried.

I absolutely agree on Gortat, Warriors are very thin up front. I don't see anyone else on the list worth looking at.

Mark Medina is saying Damion Lee has the inside track on the final roster spot.
