Steph Curry has made at least five 3-pointers in nine straight games.

Over that stretch, the Warriors' star is 56-for-115 from deep -- a cool 48.7 percent.

Before the hot streak, he was in a funk with his outside shot. In the previous eight games, he went 33-for-104 from 3-point range, for an actual cool 31.7 percent.

So how did he bust out of the slump?

“I started wearing contacts,” Curry told Marcus Thompson of The Athletic after the Warriors' win over the Nuggets on Tuesday night. “No, I’m serious.”

The greatest shooter in NBA history feels like he has new eyes now?

“It’s exactly that,” Curry said. “It’s like the whole world has opened up.”

That is......a terrifying thought for the rest of the league.

Defensive tactic in the playoffs against Curry will now include poking him in the eyes in addition to grabbing and pulling him without getting called for fouls.

dunno if this has nothing to do with his current slump, but maybe the keratoconus problem is affecting him after all?
It takes you to lose several tenths of vision within very short time. true he's wearing corrective lenses, but it is not so easy to play with them and in any case it does not mean it is the same thing as seeing naturally well, especially at the level of perceptions.

steph couldn't be more distant from harden, he actually was honest in the postgame conference despite the bad game.
maybe the keratoconus is not an issue, but maybe it's not an hypothesis to be entirely discarded.

My thought was that his movement was an issue, rather than vision. You don’t need much vision for layups. Him missing so many makes me think either the ankle is weak, or that he was just struggling for energy that day.

Speaking of Steph falling back, I think he's been doing this on 3 point shots whenever he feels someone might get underneath, every since his ankle surgery years ago:
