i'm usually all over the high risk/high reward types, but we can't afford to miss with this pick, we need some legit wing talent that can play immediately, and Thybulle is a monster defender that can hit some spot up 3s.

Thing I heard about Tybulle is that he doesn't do a lot of on-ball defending.

He's just zoning off in the middle in a kind of gimmicky defense and he gets a lot of steals that way.

Does he get a lot of blocks and steals off rotation?

He might not be there at 28

The talent difference between 18-40 is not very high. A lot of moves may happen.

I want a player with high confidence who plays hard all the time, then intelligence, then athleticism and shooting.

Yeah most likely he's long gone. Would be a lottery pick if not for the injury.

Something like top 10 in college for blocks per game. I might have that right, but that's damned impressive for a guard.

yea, Washington plays a lot of zone, but his instincts as a defender are absolutely insane.

Best wing defender in the draft.

If someone wants to knock him, go ahead and look at his 3 point percentage, but defense is not a question.

Well I don't know how strong the Pac 12 was this year.

More than likely he won't be able to cheat off his man as primary defender as much as he was able to in college.

PAC 12 didnt have a lot of great teams but individual talent was there

and his defense is legit, even if the zone pumped his steals/blocks metrics up a bit, the defensive instincts and talent is there.

I'm curious why his shooting regressed so much this past season.

True. Also Tybulle being great at off ball and help D is a good thing. Klay is a great man defender, but not very good off ball where help and being ahead of the play is key. I'm sure Tybulle can learn the man defense skills needed.

One guy I haven't heard many (any?) talking about for the Warriors is KZ Okpala. And most mocks have him floating around the general area where the Dubs will pick, so why not more interest? Athletic guard with size who can shoot and take it to the rim. Defensively yeah, he seems to be limited, but hey, we're talking about the #28 pick here, there is no perfect candidate there.

I mentioned him, but it's a pretty big stretch for him to be there at 28.
