Unite Lopez twins this off season?

Post#1 » by cdubbz » Tue May 28, 2019 7:56 pm

Robin Lopez & Brook Lopez are both Unrestricted Free agents this off season — any chance the Warriors try to unite them on the same team for a vet minimum to try to win a ring?!

They’ve never played together in the NBA and neither have gone to the NBA Finals. They played for Stanford as well. I would love for that to happen.

They’re 31 years old. They can still get a nice contract after a 1yr deal with the Warriors.

I doubt warriors can sign both. Brook had a great season and should see a lucrative offer or two. I’d rather use the mle on a wing if kd leaves. I don’t mind having looney, bell, Jones and green as our centers for the upcoming season

Sure, why not? Give them whatever we have spare. Looney, Lopez, Lopez, Bell in the front court gives us all sorts of looks at the 5.

They can play twin towers in relief minutes and set up the D using their secret twin language.

yeah he can get $15 mil EASY.

but I have a feeling they would love to at together plus try for a ring. their age is still a plus since they'll be only 32 and can get a nice contract after.

very doubtful but twins getting the chance to play for a ring? that would be my pitch.

They both play the same position and we have Looney. Unless you want to let Looney go. It's a fun pipe dream but both guys want to start and be impactful players with big minutes if possible.

Brook completely retooled his game by adding the 3 point shot volume, and he was damn effective on the defensive end surprisingly. He's not wasting the opportunity at another big payday.

I had hope for Robin, but he was pissed when Chicago tried to phase him out at one point and he forced his way back into their rotation and was a good mentor to the really young players they have there.

I know Robin's not in Chicago's long term plans, but I'm also not sure he wants a vetin from us.

Only if Brook REALLY wants a ring and doesn't think the Bucks can do it.

Unite the Morris twins too while we're at it.

Getting both doesn't make sense. Been saying if Brook wants to take a paycut, he would be a perfect complimentary piece to Loon Toones and possibly Bell.

Then you essentially need a backup PG for Shaun, one good scoring option off the bench and a KD replacement starter if he leaves.

Why you guys are so sure we are re-signing Looney? He's been too good this off-season, I fear someone is offering him too much for out pocket.

Brook gonna get paid but I'd take Robin just the same. Love what they both bring. Robin was heavily rumored to be coming here if CHI would have manned up and bought him out.

When Kerr says Looney is part of the core and foundation of this team, it lets you know they will pony up and pay.

Another reason is, we are extremely limited in what we can offer non Warrior free agents, so since we can pay Looney whatever in order to keep him it allows us to use our limited resources elsewhere, and not in also needing to replace Looney, along with everything else.

Brook is gonna resign with the Bucks I think. He was perfect for them. That team needs to pony up and keep their guys. Brogdon in a similar situation with them as well. Shoot I think Middleton needs to re-up too.

Bring in Domantas Sabonis, Wes Mathews and Austin Rives. We already have a kids of NBA players theme started.

I say we should pursue Robin on a 2-3 year deal if possible. Brook will cost too much.
