As bad as KD’s injury is and as much as he’s going to cost, I don’t see any scenario where letting him walk is better than offering him the max. It’s still our best chance at another championship before the whole thing dissolves. Despite the risks, KD, Steph, and Klay with reasonable health automatically makes you a contender.
