Looks like a promotion for Green.

If Adams leaves, then you have to be suspicious that Warriors are trying to keep costs down.

They let West go, let the former train go. WAs it unwillingness to meet higher salary offers?

Not sure if Schlenk took any front office people with him to Atlanta. He probably was involved in poaching the trainer.

I can understand it, the big payroll they're going to have. But in the scheme of things, it can't be that much money. You pay all these sky high player salaries while you're in the championship window but they're going to try to save a fraction of the salary that they pay Curry and depend on lesser-experienced people to fill these functions?

Ron Adams isn’t leaving. I have multiple sauces.

Not that they won't, just that they haven't.

They don't have to wait for free agency to tell him. So if they don't present that offer when free agency starts, Klay would be willing to sit down with the Clippers.

In contrast, supposedly Warriors have been communicating with KD. Presumably there's not much to talk about as far as how much they will offer him, it's pretty much super max or nothing. But maybe they're talking about the rumored promise to honor his trade requests.

I hope they're not dicking around with Klay. If there was any doubt about his worth, that Finals series should dispel all of them. Not just his performance but his willingness to play after the hamstring injury and trying to play after the ACL injury.

Warriors can't offer a super max to KD ... he doesn't qualify per CBA rules.

I don't think it's payroll at all. West said he wanted a new challenge and to not travel as much from LA. Adams is a little stranger, but he hasn't gone anywhere yet. Green is getting a promotion. And I think there is always the possible issue of coaches voices getting tired to the players ears so some turnover is generally good.

I get the feeling that Ron Adams sees KD leaving in free agency since he's quite close with him.

Meanwhile Iguodala is out there wylin' with the doctor/org talk. Not helpful at all. The ship might sinking lol

This was expected as everyone assumed he would want a max deal. The question is does he want 5 years with us or 4 years with someone else (Nets, Knicks, etc.).

I wasn't so sure he would decline actually. He must have very good intel about other teams wanting to throw him max deals, and also may have gotten word from us that we would offer him one as well.

The best of both worlds for KD. His knee injury, with the way it happened and went down, has garnered a big uptick in respect from the casual fans he so desperately needed the approval of, plus he get's multiple max deals offered his way while he takes a year off.

We may have lost the title, but life got better for Kevin.

Declining was the best scenario for us. I was worried he would opt in fully intending to sign somewhere else next season. Now he either stays or goes.

Fitz getting canned from KNBR is a nice early bonus. I’m sure he’ll end up up at 95.7 but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

Iggy has been doing a lot of talking lately, do not be surprised if he finishes the last year of his contract on another team.

Exactly. If he leaves, the rehab isn't on the Warriors dime. And if he stays, they won't have to wait a year to find out.

He’s promoting a book, not trying to get traded. And he clarified his comments on the pressure to play with injury. He isn’t saying anything critical of the Warriors staff or decision-making

Is he still doing Warriors games though? I don't listen to KNBR other than games.

Yeah he's still broadcasting the games. He's actually more tolerable on TV, just a homer.

He's an arrogant douche on radio. They should have sent Rod Brooks out the door with him tbh.

How would that work? Lakers were only sending them to teams that could take them into cap space or, in Wizard's case, a trade exception. They had to shed salary and wouldn't take any back.

Haven't actually looked at the salaries but Livingston comes to mind. They could waive him or better yet he could retire.

send Liv/future 2nd to the Wiz in a 3-way for one of Bonga/Wagner, or the McKinnie contract, etc.

plenty of ways to do this really.

Why would the Wizards want to pay Livingston $2mil to retire and a young player picked in the back half of the 2nd round at a later date? If you're interested in Bonga/Wagner it stands to reason they are too.

And for someone harping on the lack of wings you want to trade McKinnie? He's been an absolute steal in FA. With his length and athleticism he's the sort of guy that gets drafted at the end of the 1st round. People be thinking because a guy can't handle Kawhi Leonard defensively he's worth nothing, crazy.

There is no way we could have gotten our hands on Bonga or Wagner.
