If Draymond doesn't sign an extension this summer and he'll play for a new contract, i don't wand to be around the one who will tell him to tank :)))
And as others said, try to sell Lacob the idea to tank in the first year in the new arena
Or to Curry....

Not even Lebron could drag a team of young and inexperienced players into the playoffs and considering we're most likely losing 4 of our veterans(KD, Klay, Cousins, Livingston) for next season, I doubt we're going to make the playoffs on the backs of Curry, Draymond, Iguodala and Looney. What we absolutely should not do is try to play those guys big minutes in order to get into the playoffs. Continue playing Draymond and Steph 32-33mpg and play Evans, Lee, Bell, Jones, McKinnie and the rookies 20+ minutes per night and see who develops into rotation players. I imagine we finish in the back 3rd of the West doing that and that's okay.

Also, if Warriors DO decide to tank...do they keep Draymond? Seems like the right thing to do is to move Draymond off the books to ensure the tank....then Warriors don't face the re-sign quandary next year.

Don't think there's cap relief for injuries since both are free agents.

If we resign KD, they might as well keep the team together since we're capped out regardless. The main issue is that we don't have rotation players that can contribute on regular basis, other than Iggy, and he's not getting any better. A lottery pick would address this issue and help us compete when everyone is back.

If we re-sign KD then we'll very likely qualify for a disabled player's exception (DPE) worth about $9million (normal mid-level money). The DPE can only be used on a one year contract. So, certainly a help but not a huge amount. The fact that KD will be a free agent doesn't matter. if we sign him, we get the DPE (assuming the NBA committee agrees that it's likely that KD is out for all of next season).
