Hmm
I'm pretty sure, when he and Myers spoke on the day of KD's decision, both sides knew that this was going to be a situation with different possibilities. So I don't think DLo went into this being naive about it. I think he also believes that he can have a future with the team if he really impresses. And worst case scenario, he goes to another team where he's the man. At the end of the day, he got paid.

I also thought that happened. Or I expect it to have happened. But if so, one wouldn’t say “he has given no indication of a potential long term future”, right?
I wouldn't dissect it too much. But I don't think DLo is stupid. He knows that a pg next to another pg doesn't make sense. But he knew about the Warriors cap situation and what it meant for Durant to walk away. If DLo didn't show interest in going to GS, there was going to be no chance of a deal because DLo didn't have to go if he didn't want to. It's a business partnership that can blossom into something great. But it can also be something great that turns into something different that's beneficial for everybody. I like the answer DLo is giving. What I just hope is that Warrior fans make him feel welcome. And I also hope that he shocks everybody and we're all wondering why we would even want to trade him.

Aaron Gordon and Mo Bamba also would be interesting.

The Magic seem like potentially good trade partners...they were rumored to be interested in D-Lo before free agency began and have an excess of forwards.

When they get Westbrook they may change their mind.

You think Westbrook would sign off on a trade to Orlando? I think the Thunder will try to work with him to get to the destination of his choice(Miami)...and I’d be surprised if that’s Orlando. Stranger things have happened though lol.

Haha, you're right. Too early for me, I got my Florida teams mixed up. More coffee, please.

Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like poor decision making to ask the newly signed player at his first warrior media availability has he been giving any indication about his future with the team. Also, anytime a young 23yr old guard has the opportunity to learn from Steph and klay you choose that road 10/10 times

If it was a media representative from the Bay Area, then I am not surprised. Few of them are worth the time. If it was from the national media, then they're still obsessed with bringing down the Warriors. Maybe the latter will dissipate some now that LA has two teams stacked better than the Warriors.

Please treat this guy good yall. We miss him already in Brooklyn, he's a good dude and he has matured into a true professional. Sad to see him not being apart of what we are doing.

We’ll need a player like Russell for the Finals when Curry gets shut down again.

If he’s doing well but the long term fit just doesn’t work I think we should look towards the Pelicans. Jrue can play the 1 or 2 which is a great fit with Steph and guard most wings. They have Lonzo and a young core Russell lines up with age wise and I could see Gentry loving Russell. Doubt we could get Ingram but maybe involve a third team for a solid wing or two.
Jarret Jack: “I brought one of my best suits. But looking down at this jersey, it’s just a sense of pride I don’t think I’ve ever felt as a professional. … Nothing in my closet is better than what I have on now."

He missed a shot in game 6, thus, he’s overrated

As usual, GB is on point with the hot takes

we would have won the finals already if we could shut down any of the VanVleet, Ibaka, Lowry, Siakim or Gasol.

that 'robin' was one shot away from forcing a game 7 in the finals.

So are we not gonna say the Raptors only won because the Warriors were injured?
