Really good shooter.

Played at Villanova and knows Paschall. Championship year Spellman was best player.

Minuses;

Not his waistband. Needs to go on a diet.

Spellman wasn’t our best player championship year. Brunson was. He was 4th at best.

Brunson
Bridges
Divincenzo
Spellman

Maybe he’ll be our Big Baby or Antoine Walker :dontknow:

I love the shot taken here though. I was big on him in the draft at our position. Instead we took a crappy “ready now” guard with a boring name. Boooooooo

Watch the Championship game again.

And I watched plenty of games that year. Brunson was the vocal leader. Bridges got the hype. Vincenzon was solid. Spellman was The man and he was the best player in the biggest game or their season.

That's cute...no shade on Brunson, but Spellman was the secret behind the sauce. Actually all those dudes are solid, so not hating on any of them, and I pushed hard for Vinnie and Omari.

I feel like they don't win without Spellman. The dude shot 43% from 3 and did all of the heavy lifting.

What did they do to him in Georgia, stuffing him with BBQ pork and peach sliders on a daily basis?!
in college he wasn't so overweight.

The hate for Jones is over the top. He's had injury issues pretty consistently and people have wanted to cut him from the start. Patience people.

That said, I'm fine with the move as Spellman is a decent risk and saving the money is critical.

On Spellman, people talking about him starting at SF? The ****? He's skilled, but undisciplined which is the same reason he was on the board last year at 30.

IF (and it's a big if) he can get in shape it's a great deal, but Paschall is more interesting to me at the moment.

It's really not, though. ‘People’ aren't talking about him starting at SF. It's a single guy who suggested he might start with Draymond (who some people still consider to be a possible SF, for some reason) at Forward and one other person who asked a question. Everybody else realizes that he's a 4/5.

I would love to see Draymond take Spellman, and Paschall under his wing of weight loss and defense.

Maybe they can take a Zumba Class

Was pleased to have heard about this trade. Since then, Spellman has not played for the Warriors this summer. A rather inauspicious start.

At least the move got the Warriors below the apron with their remaining moves (ie. stretch waive of Livingston) on the books.

The image of Draymond doing Zumba in a full onesy lycra number can now never be erased from my memory.

Thanks Cyrus.

Looks like that Zumba ish is paying off!

Love that trio, I've dubbed them "The All Beef Triple Patty Burger"

Definitely found some gold in Paschall, he's perfect at the SF/3 position. Better than Barnes and can really compliment the Splash Bros, not force them to change their game.

Spellman's motor is so much fun to watch. He's intense out there. Keep him on that whole 30 diet!!

this trade was totally lopsided in the Warriors favor. Spellman is only getting better with his increased playing time and improved conditioning. Great trade Bob!

It's amazing how Jerry West was able to orchestrate this while not even being officially with GS anymore.
