That's the max extension the Warriors could offer this summer. Draymond's a smart guy--waiting until next summer would be a huge gamble.

great news and a great deal for the Warriors to lock him before he became a FA. Bob Myers with a solid offseason.

It's a win win good continuity signing. I don't see him finishing the deal in GS in a deal for the next superstar though.

At least he didn't listen to LeBron and go into FA. It would have been a nightmare for him.

Green is smart to get his money and sleep easy tonight. I wonder why he signed with LeBron in the first place? Could have done it himself like some passed superstars doing this.

He probably was hoping for a max deal north of 150 mill but saw the writing on the wall as next off-season will not have very many high-caliber free agents. Honestly, who was going to offer Draymond more than 30 mill a year?

I'd say the opposite. Draymond is a very smart guy. $100M guaranteed in the bank, as opposed to a hope and a prayer of more next year? After seeing what happened to Klay, KD, Cousins, etc. How much do you really need, anyway.

With this news, some interesting stats come out about Draymond. For instance, he's one of three players in NBA history to record 200 Reb & 150 Ast in a single postseason (he's done it twice.) The others are Larry Bird and LeBron James.

I still can’t believe this until it is official. Draymond just saw Klay getting $200m after hurting his knee. He is with Klutch. He has said many times he took a paycut (even though he really didn’t and we paid him more than any other team could).

Even if he gets hurt and misses 21-22, he can probably do better than $100m/4 from us.

Taking $100m/4 is so un-Draymond and in-Klutch.

I know rookie extensions can have a clause for Rose rule/Supermax if they qualify during the season before the extension takes effect.

You sure it doesn’t apply to vet extensions like this one?
