Shaun Livingston interested in a front office role.

Post#1 » by Mylie10 » Fri Aug 23, 2019 5:10 pm

He hasn't decided in hanging up the sneakers yet, but if he does he and the Warriors are interested in a role with the front office or coaching staff.

This is great news IMO.

Hope it works out for him. Maybe starting as a scout or assistant in Santa Cruz can get his feet wet and let him see if this is something he wants to pursue.

That's cool.

Hopefully Iguodala will replace Kerr in a few years.

Iguodala doesn't have the temperament for coaching. Too quiet, too cerebral. He has no fire. He won't be breaking any clipboards. Draymond is already being groomed for the role which he'll take over in about a decade after spending a couple seasons as an assistant to Kerr. Iguodala should join the FO brain trust.

I think Shaun will be good in the FO. Hope that all works out for him.

He's going to have a good post playing career with whatever he chooses. Such a smart, level headed, impressive guy. Good luck to him.

Iguodala could be a great coach, but NOT a head coach. He's really good at breaking the game down and teaching the game, but that "temperment" you speak of will keep him away from the HC spot.

Draymond doesn’t seem like the type of guy that’s going to want to grind on a coaches salary. The temperament thing goes both ways too.

Love it. I’m not sure what his best role would be but he brings such a wealth of wisdom and experience that you want him around your team regardless.

Dray wants the front office too, but I think he could do either.
