2016 mid season Warriors vs 2017 finals Warriors

Who wins a 7 game series against each other, the mid season 2016 Warriors or the 2017 finals Warriors.
The 2016 team was playing so sharp. All the screening and moving without the ball was so efficient and the defense was also sharp.
I think the 2016 team was showing signs of burn out before the season ended. Then Curry got hurt in the playoffs.

The 2017 team had Durant. JaVale and West were also useful.

That 2017 finals team would probably beat any team in history. They would have fed the '96 Bulls team their own ass's on a platter.

I think both the 2016 mid season Warriors and the 2917 finals Warriors would have Beaton the 96 Bulls. If you gave the 96 Bulls average modern 3 point shooting and let them understand the modern game then the modified Bulls would have beat the Warriors. Modern floor spacing combined with good passing leaves wide open paths to the rim.

I still think the mid season 2016 Warriors played sharper more perfect basketball than the 2017 Warriors did.

I loved JaVale and he had fabulous per minute stats but Kerr would not play him so he does not nearly replace Bogut in my opinion. JaVale could not replace Bogut hike sitting on the bench. West replaces Speights.

Durant is of course much better than Barnes.
Curry, Klay, Draymond, Andre, and Livingston were all better in mid season 2016 in my opinion.
I think Barbosa, Ezili and Rush were better than Zaza, Matt Barnes and McCaw.
2017 McAdoo and Ian Clark were better than 2016 Clark and McAdoo.

I don't think the playoff clutching and grabbing stopped the 2016 Warriors. Curry and Bogut were not healthy in the playoffs but I don't even think that stopped the Warriors. I think the 73 wins burned them out and they played worse in the playoffs than they did in the regular season.

Hard to say, part of the reason for the historic success in 2016 was that we were playing a style of basketball that nobody had ever seen, so the league didn't know what to do. Then in 2017 and 2018 the league adjusted and everyone started copying us playing pace n space. We needed a dominate halfcourt player like KD to get over the top.

2017.... they went 16-1..... people need to remember Game 4 of the NBA Finals vs Cavs in Cleveland was a blatant rig by the NBA to extend the series and not have a sweep.... it took the NBA from keeping the Warriors sweeping the playoffs....

2017 was probably the best team of all time...everyone was hungry after what happened in 2016 Finals.... to lose like that the way they did.... the 3-1 Memes the type of hate fueling that team especially in this social media era....... i dont think people understand how motivated that team really was.... how hungry Durant was in 2017 people keep overlooking this..... I dont think we gonna see a team like the Warriors in our lifetime with those circumstances... once in a lifetime **** right there... one of the best teams ever in sports history... only teams that are in their league are those 1920 Yankees, 08-11 FC Barcelona Soccer team, '70 '94 Brazil World Cup teams, Spain 08-10 World cup team and maybe 2014 Germany World Cup team... maybe 71 Bucks... these are the only teams in sports history that can rival this Warriors team in terms of greatness

That game solidified my belief that the NBA can be rigged whenever they want it to be.

2016 did feel more magical and entertaining.

But 2017 Warriors practically coasted their way to 67 wins and straight up dominated the Playoffs.
