Trade 1) 1st overall pick, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole to Boston for Jaylen Brown, #17 and #27

Trade 2) Eric Paschall to Denver for Bol Bol

Draft) Haliburton at 17 and Lewis at 27

our roster more or less:

Steph Curry / Tyrese Haliburton / Ky Bowman
Klay Thompson / Damion Lee
Jaylen Brown /Scottie Lewis
Bol Bol / Kevon Looney / Alen Smailagic
Draymond Green / Marquese Chriss

How can you be so down on Wiggins and then think he’s worth Jaylen brown?

that's why we're giving up the 1st overall pick to do it

And we’re getting 17 and 27?

Your obsession with Bol Bol is fascinating to me.

And Scottie Lewis as well.

Further, despite the injury, Haliburton will be gone way before #17.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

GSW heading into 2020 Off-Season are equipped with the following:

-17 M TPE
-Full Non-Tax Payers MLE (9.8M)
-GSW FRP (Likely top 5)
-MIN 2021 FRP (Likely top 10)
-Healthy and Rested/Re-charged Steph/Klay/Dray (Knock on wood)
-An Actual Starting SF

Not a lot of teams have cap space so the full MLE (while being a championship contender) is very valuable for the mid-tier free agents.
Some targets would include:

- (C) Marc Gasol
- (PG) Goran Dragic
- (C) Tristan Thompson
- (PF) Marcus Morris
- (SF) Jerami Grant
- (SG) Joe Harris
- (C) Aron Baynes
- (C) Mason Plumlee

Lol, I respect sticking up for your players.

I wouldn't mind picking up Nesmith/Vassell + Tyler Bey if we get the 17th and 27th respectively. I'm personally higher on Bey's defense than Lewis's. I think at least getting one shooter could be of serious benefit for a team sorely lacking in spacing apart from Curry/Klay.

Using any more than the taxpayer MLE, about $5.8M next year, hard-caps them again.

Yup! Those are two separate things.

If they use the Iguodala TPE however, they will almost certainly not be able to use the 9.3 million MLE, but instead the 5.7 million one, as they'll be hard-capped if they go over the apron.

Hmm no I don't think they can. I think if they use the MLE and the TPE in any sequence, it has to be the 5.7 million, unless they're cool with being hard-capped.

You can't use the full MLE if it puts you over the Apron. If you use it, you're under the Apron, but you're hard-capped at the Apron. You can then use the TPE, or parts of it, as long as you don't go over the hard-cap line. The latest projection (Jan 30) for the hard-cap line for next season is $144M.

to simplify, since people keep missing this

Option 1:
Use NTPMLE ($9M). Triggers hardcap, effectively kills the TPE. We saw this year what the hardcap does.

Option 2:
Use TPMLE ($5.7M). Total flexibility to use TPE, other minimum exceptions, add salary as much as we can/want up to Lacob's personal tax limit

Choice is pretty obvious.

Ah that makes more sense, thank you for the correction.

Don't we have to use the TPE first, if we're gonna use it at all, because of the small window in which to use it? That one week period. Isn't that before free agency?

I believe the expiration date is July 7th, with free agency starting July 1st (but I don’t think any deals become official until July 6th).

It expires shortly after free agency starts, which makes sense, since the thing that started the domino effect of moves was Durant’s free agency decision.

Well, in theory, they can trade as soon as their season ends April 15, but the Warriors are hard-capped until the end of the league season, Jun 30. So, unless they can clear a whole lot of space before then, yeah, they have that one week.

Would love Joe Harris since we really need reliable shooting outside of the Splash Bros. Looks like we're giving Lee the chance there though.

I think adding pieces like Crowder and Bazemore make more sense since the Warriors need defense badly.
