I’ll take him as the 20-21 starter vs the Suns..

I see Kerr playing the matchups like always..you need more size vs the big frontlines..but Chriss off the bench is looking very very solid

Looks like a lot of people want to shed their overpriced centers for Wiggins and all the picks. With Chriss playing like this I think the Warriors just see what is available for the MLE during the offseason.

He's a good bench player who can start on some occasions. We need a legit big bruising center though. I will tell you what though, and this may seem cold, Chriss is turning into a nice trade chip just in case.

I am very definitely on board. Maybe get someone like Aron Baynes, he with Chriss and Looney would be more than adequate imo, or Wiseman if they can draft him, no need to pay huge money for a center, and no way would I trade Wiggins for one as it currently stands, although I had considered a trade for Drummond before I warmed to the idea of Wiggins.

the best part is that he'll only get better once steph and klay get back because defenses will be focusing on the splash bros instead.

also, he's still really young and will improve with more experience and confidence.

when the warriors initially waived him i was worried he'd get picked up by a contending team who he would flourish with and make it even tougher for gsw to bounce back to compete. good thing he's still with gsw.

Dunno about starter, but I can certainly see him as our version of Montrezl Harrell.

I haven’t really paid attention to his screen game but that’s going to be huge in how much Kerr is willing to play him with Steph and Klay.

I'm not sure about starter, but I'm very happy to have him in the 5 spot rotation. He and Looney aren't a bad start as far as shoring up the center position is concerned. Looney was so solid in his role last year - hope he can get back to being reliably healthy. Beyond Chriss and Looney, we need to add a legit big-bodied defensive presence if possible, and I wouldn't mind finding a Speights-like big who can space the floor. With the 3 spot seemingly taken care of with the arrival of Wiggins, I have confidence that our FO will be able to put together a strong, versatile roster with our remaining resources. I'm not sure there's a need to make a big trade. Keep and use the picks unless there's a no=brainer deal available for a legit star-level talent. I also think the arrival of Wiggins and the emergence of Chriss is going to allow the FO to take the best player available in the draft (which is probably the approach they would have taken anyway) rather than worry about positional fit.

Loving what we are seeing from Chriss. If Looney can show that he's the same dude as last year, we can probably get away with Loon/Chriss/Dray and a vet minimum shot blocker/rebounder as our center rotation.

Love Chiss in an expanded Javale McGee role. I think he can have an impact to McGee, but he is much more mobile so he can defend switches better. He is also only 22, so I think he still has a lot of potential that can be reached under the Warriors' coaching. Considering this is really his first full season playing only center, I think he will be more comfortable in that role as well next year. The return of Steph and Klay will also allow him to thrive even more as a lob/dump off threat.

As mentioned above, if we can get someone like Baynes, Chriss will be a very good backup. If we aren't able to get a bigger defensive big, I wouldn't mind starting Chriss since he most likely won't be part of the end of the game line up anyways.

Agreed.

We do need that big guy, and Baynes might be the most gettable. But Chriss will most likely still get the most minutes in each game. Which is fine.

I like a lot of what I'm seeing from Chriss this season. But we've also seen how big 7-footers have mugged our smallish bigs in the paint, hence Kerr likes having someone like a Zaza, McGee, Boogie around for those match-ups. There are certainly teams that Chriss can start against, but I think we still need a 7-foot bruiser for next season as well.

Nice development. Yes, there will be bad matchups, but "bad matchups" is better than "we've got nobody".

Also, bad matchups are less bad when you have Steph & Klay available to make other teams pay.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

I'm all aboard the Chriss train. Despite this being his 4th season in the league, he's actually younger than either Paschall or Bowman. I know he took up the game late, and I think we're seeing him simply learn and get comfortable with the game.

I don't know if he has the size to be a full-time center, but really like how he has developed.

Chriss also has a quality backup in Looney (health permitting)
