The Dragon is on a Bender!

Hearing Dragan Bender is a player teams have their eyes on as an "early free agent addition" for 2020-21. The idea would be to sign him now with some guaranteed money for 20-21. Teams like what the only 22-year-old (yes, really!) did with GSW. Warriors would like to keep him too.

It's a LONG way away. I hope the Warriors get permission to work out this season so they can keep working with him and get him wanting to stay around. But I certainly don't see him as a priority.

Some Forbes writer thinks OKC should sign him. I say we hold out for Noel. Then I can have the Curry/Noel paring I was lusting for years ago. ;-)

Lol, I remember that. Actually I think Noel is a very good underrated role payer now.

Nerlens Noel is a quality starting center.

Saw him in a couple games with Warriors. He and Paschal seemed to have developed some kind of chemistry (e.g,. Paschal at bottom of the key and pass out on the perimeter to Bender to shoot the 3, and vice versa to allow Paschal to abuse those in the paint.).

I'd say we've become a ballclub who can do wonders refining and unlocking their skills/potential. Unleash the Dragon from this Bender (aka keep him for a reasonable guaranteed contract)! He's been in the league for a couple of years now, but is still only 22 years old, and has some time to find his role.

Bender is a scrub who if he’s at the end of your bench can be useful. But if we want to win Championships a guy like him is a dime a dozen.

Just non-guaranteed is the best he will get from the Dubs. We don’t have enough roster spots next year and he will be a long shot to make team. He is better going elsewhere.

He really is a good defender. On a cheap deal he’s good

Another cheap center will be Jahlil Okafor.

There's a reason for that; he makes Enes Kanter look like Hakeem on defense and he's more of a post player than he is pick and roll guy.

Per 36: 15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2steals, 3 blocks

Whopping 685% FG!! 75% from the line. Not a three point shooter at all.

No threes and no passing, but elite finishing, and elite shot blocking.

Yeah, having a rim runner/defender is something we've been missing ever since Bogut left. There's a whole bunch of guys that are really underrated if you look at their BPMs and how much they actually play. I have yet to actually watch Boban play, but this guy probably should be playing more than his 10 MPG too.

I've been hoping they get him since the 76ers gave up on him. It's a shame they haven't been able to get him in.
