Poole still reminds me of Nick Young, example of a guy who needed an extra year in college.

I was high on Bol Bol, and I will say after this video he looks like he might become the next guy to really explode in the NBA. His stock tanked because he got injured and did not get to play in a lot of games.

I'm stubborn (still think Anthony Randolph and Chris Singleton could/can play in NBA) and think my preferred draft of Porter, Paschall, Bol will end up better than what we got.

What happened to singleton? I still hold out hope for Damien Ingelis.

Singleton has been really good in Europe the last 5 years. Last two years he's shot 49 and 45% from 3 to go along with his always good defense. He could definitely play in NBA (see i did the stubborn thing again).

Id take a flier on him over most of the wing fa this year.

I get that he was statistically awful, but I actually really liked how his handles, vision, hands and effort on defense looked throughout the year.

I'll mostly be angry with Poole as long as Kevin Porter continues to look like the perfect pick for us. I had Paschall, Porter, Bol as my top 3 when we drafted Poole... and after 1 year, Porter looks alot better and plays a position we need, backup 2/3. Would love to have those 3 instead of Poole and Smiley.

Porter was a major character issue, and Bol a major health issue, and I'm not sure either of those issues are gone, but yeah, they were players of interest, but I assumed then and still assume that the team investigated them and decided they were not worth the risk.

Poole wore a half tie during the draft i'd thrown him off my board right then and there

7th or 8th in the rotation upside. I doubt he’ll ever be consistent enough to be the main guy off the bench.

What I like about Poole is his confidence. What I hate about Poole is his over confidence.

He takes to many shots off balance, and should pass more. I want to see him catch and shoot without thinking about it. Because when he does, he gets out of control trying to do to much.

Half of the teams in the NBA passed on him twice and every team passed on him once. If the Warriors drafted him and he played 10 games and then broke down and could never stay healthy you'd be blaming Bob for taking him.

I liked Bol too, but he fell from a top 10 prospect to 44 because of major health issues which means it's not a scouting issue but a training staff making that call.

The health issues of Bol and potential character issues of Porter were real (and still very much are). I just think the Warriors were in a position to swing for the fences, especially if their 3rd pick was a solid plug and play like Paschall.

Too often our staff tends to get fixated on a player and doesn't seem to see whats happening in the actual draft. I get that they fell in love with Poole... but when a guy like Porter starts dropping, you gotta make the tough decision to shift your plan. Same goes for the
Smiley pick. Clearly that was their guy all along, but when a similar high risk flier like Bol starts dropping, gotta adjust the plan.

Thats just my two cents. And its very possible i'm wrong and Poole/Smiley/Paschall end up better than Porter/Bol/Paschall... in fact i'm obviously rooting for it! And I do like what i've seen from Poole and Smiley, so I'm on board with the plan now, even if I would have done it differently.
