Warriors unlikely to draft Lamelo so it looks like the pick will be Wiseman or Ant-Man.

Hm.. I'm one of those who would be okay with Ws picking LaMelo. While he would be ball dominant and not a fit as a starter, I think he can be first off the bench and run the second team. He also could play some minutes at PG while Steph or Klay are taking a breather. The question is will he be a long term fit for GSW and that may be a negative unless something happens while being with the team. I think he'll be someone who will sell tickets and thus intriguing to teams who don't draft him and already have a big man such as the Knicks. He is a marketing magnet for younger fans and already Puma has given him a $100 million contract with private jet use. IOW, there will likely be a trade for him during the season if not on draft day.

Thus, I don't agree with the report and think the Warriors brass can take advantage and make the best use of LaMelo if they draft him at #2.

You want Ball? Head back to the General Board

Easy now, we all just want the team to get better and I can understand that there is some anxiety with all the moves that took place Monday night that kind of left the Warriors out in the cold. We will see what happens as things develop, but there is no 100% correct move here.

I think Deni is going to be a bust for this team. He is years away from being ready and I don't think that he will ever develop a decent 3-point shot.

Ya I still have him in my top 10, but I don't feel confident on it. He strikes me as someone that will end up between Saric and Gordon Hayward... however Saric was way better than Deni in Europe.

So best case he's a taller Hayward, but he can't shoot anywhere near as good as gordon, so I just dont see that happening. And while i still think he finds his place, I don't know that I want someone with a Joe Ingles level impact in the top 5.

If Edwards is gone. They should take the Chicago offer. Select Toppin at 4. Perfect fit.

Oops, it showed up in my notification box so I thought it was GB. I'm too excited.

Am hoping for the trade down with the Bulls for WCJ right now. Good rebounder. Close to a dub-dub.

Can he shoot from the perimeter tho? I think he did at Duke, but for some reason not that close with his percentages in the NBA. I hope it's a great trade.

Who would the Ws take at #4? Obi Toppin for more offense and another 3-pt threat? Okongwu to back up Dray on defense? Patrick Williams would be a nice backup right away and could be SF/PF of the future.

May Obi Toppin will be the pick. I think he fits better with Warriors offense. Warriors may trade down to pick him and get another player for center via trade or free agency.
That's my prediction. Let's see.
For some reason I don't believe Edwards or Wiseman will be picked from Warriors. I believe Ball has more chances.
Just predictions before the draft. We don't know anything

For the potential #2 for #4 + WCJ trade, do you think the Bulls would go for it if we also swap 2021 first-rounders? If so, I'd definitely go for it but it's a lot to ask. But if they're desperate for Ball and Minnesota won't trade, maybe they do it.

I would think that if we walked out of this with Carter Jr. and Okoro, that's a pretty good freakin' day right there.

My thoughts exactly.

However, i'm concerned the Warriors see it as Carter Jr and Deni. :banghead:

Not feeling Deni at all. I’m getting nervous. At least take someone with an elite skill. Deni is an MDJ style pick. I would be unhappy if it happened, but I would be rooting hard as hell that I am wrong about him.

His upside is who? Furkan Korkmaz? Marco Belinelli? A good role player maybe. :dontknow:

Yeah, I don't get it.

The hype for Deni is having a 6'10' pf that can dribble, pass, and shoot at an average to above avg level (outside of ft shooting). He'll be a solid defender that can defend 1-4 seamlessly.

I agree with the first sentence. I disagree with the 2nd. 8-)

There's plenty of video of his defense on youtube. He became his team defensive stopper and was able to stay in front of Shane Larkin. His closeouts needs work and his post defense needs some work, but he's got his verticality down.

He seems slow on perimeter, but I didn't see him against Larkin. Thats a great job if he did that. Agree on verticality. I see him being a passable defender.

Is Carter Jr a upgrade over Chriss ? Or perhaps we could flip Carter Jr for someone else.
