Stevens, of the 10 mins of video I saw, is inconsistent as they come, offensively (The defense is nothing spectacular either.). Possesses NO elite skill. We're better off with other options you've listed.

If they draft Stevens they should dismantle the front office and start over.

Such extremes. You are saying that if they took Stevens with the 51st pick in the draft EVERY ONE in the front office should be fired? I'm not a huge fan of Stevens, but I think you may be over-valuing the 51st pick in the draft. Heck there is a reasonable chance they could buy a pick ... you think they should hit reset if they pick him with the very last pick in the draft?

Yea that’s hyperbole but drafting Stevens means they have no clue what they’re doing. Stevens is essentially a less athletic pascall.
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

It's most likely Kerr attempting to evaluate talent to bring them into their "Fall/Winter League" or 2020-2021 Season Training Camp (If/When they go unselected) on either a partial or non-guaranteed deal. Lamar Stevens seems like a hardworking player, but his performances, skills, and stats suggests he'll struggle in the NBA.

But man he can’t shoot a lick. I still like Winslow and Crowder. But not sure either are gettable.

Love to pick up Paul Reed as a guy who can guard all over the floor.

No to Roberson but I would add Will Barton to that list as he may not have a roll on the Nuggets after MPJ broke out in the playoffs.

Started out talking about a defensive wing and we end up with Will Barton?

I like Barton 6'6" with a 6'10" wingspan and while he may not be a defensive specialist, he can hold his own. With Draymond on the team I don't think they can add any players who don't have to be guarded when the Dubs are on offense so I am out on players like Roberson.

I like Barton and would love him to be a Warrior (and have for years), but his defense is worse than average and at times far worse. Maybe Adams and Warriors culture can "fix" him, but I'm not so sure.

This would require finding a solid backup PG and fielding a healthy team throughout the season.

I was really encouraged by Poole's showing as a PG. I think we might not have missed on that pick so much as missed on his best position. To be making reads and thinking as a PG out there during the year where the game is generally moving way too fast for most rookies is an extremely promising sign.

Are you a believer in Bowman as a legit backup PG or are you really thinking more of a vet/defender at PG or are you thinking Ball could be the pick?

Warriors basketball is back! Sort of:

Poole looks ready to build on his late season improvement and that Taylor guy couldn't miss from 3. Chriss looked better than Loon in the battle for backup big man and this just goes to show how much I am jonesing for Warriors' basketball that I am breaking down a scrimmage...

Nice.
Poole looked improved.
Taylor’s shot looks enough to give him a training camp look.
Its just a scrimmage, but Smiley still sucks.

Yeah, Smiley moves like a 7ft aircraft carrier center except he's not that big. The fact that he just turned 20 a couple months ago gives me hope that he's still going through the maturation process and will get stronger and more coordinated naturally but he still looks slow and awkward compared to everyone else on the floor.

I want Smiley to turn into a legit NBA player but this might be a swing and a miss for Kirk Lacob.

Agree, Smiley still sucks.

Looking his build just gives me Ognjen Kuzmic vibes. Something is a bit off.

I'm calling Poole for MIP. Reportedly he's been the last guy to leave the gym on a regular basis. Consider him a bonus 1st round pick this year. Whole new player. Book it.

Jordan Poole will be playing with a lot of confidence this season. Could be a reliable shooter off the bench.

I'm irrationally excited about Poole. I like the idea of having a tall lead guard off the bench with his passing skills and his ability to heat up. Don't expect him to be back-up point guard next year without fighting off some competition, but I think by the end of his rookie deal he can play the Lou Williams role with improved defense and passing.

I think Jordan Poole is taking a massive step forward this year. He ended the season pretty strong, but what I like about him is that he looks like he really embraces stepping up to adversity. So many times down the stretch last year it felt like he would just take over the offense, and even on nights where his shooting wasn’t great (ie many nights), he still wasn’t afraid of taking shots he knows he should make until he gets them. And when he gets hot, he really gets hot. I see a bit of Tyler Herro in him- young guy who wants all the smoke. That’s a mentality that really lends itself really well to playing on a strong team, so if Poole can get in the zone on a glorified G League team like last year, I expect him to take it up a notch on a potential contender like next year’s team. Especially playing behind the greatest PG of all time, he’a also going to be facing much easier matchups, so I hope he gets his minutes.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Bowman and Poole as a tandem backup PG. I think with Steph you obviously don’t need the greatest backup guard if you can improve other areas with that potential money, but with Bowman you get a guy who can hold his own defending some really great players, and with Poole you get a guy who can have those games where he gets really hot and becomes a difference maker.
