Best thing about this is if Orlando plays hardball and wants more we can give them Smiley too.
You shut your dirty mouth. Smiley is the future!

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Jordan Poole, or Alen Smailagic, or Chriss + 2nd for Wayne Ellington.

Ellington is a serious sniper from deep, we could use him.

Not sure he brings much more than Mulder already does (for less scratch). I like Ellington, but we should only be throwing Smiley into a trade for a star.

Just go get Beal when he hits the market. Fits the Warriors window better than young assets.

Rather have Lavine. He’s cheaper, younger, and just as talented.

By cheaper do you mean cheaper to acquire?

I just love Beal’s fit on this team. He plays Warriors style ball and would kill it here imo.

Lavine doesn't defend, despite great athleticism.

Beal is only 6-3. I thought he was at least 6-5. Obviously he isn't spending a lot of energy on defense, the Wizards give up more than they score.

Zo and Redick on the block

wouldn't mind Zo if the price is right, Anthony Slater reporting Warriors are dangling Oubre

What about Oubre for Redick and a couple SRPs (or an FRP)?

Redick is fine I guess but not sure how much he can give us this year over Oubre and he's a FA after this season, Zo is still on his rookie year for another season (QO), we need to have next season in mind with any trade we make, and Zo makes a lot of sense coming off the bench for either Steph or Klay, can play off both

wouldn't really offer up much more than Oubre tho

I guess the plan would be to get a couple 2021 SRPs and Redick. Get Redick used to team and then re-sign for cheaper in off-season.

Understand the grab for lonzo in terms of future. I guess at some point I just expect tax to become an issue for the owners

Zo had a good year from the 3 last year but he's regressed so far this year.

And he's always been under 60% for FT.

Also distressing, under 40% for FG means he can't finish in the restricted area or misses a lot of midrange shots?

I wouldn't take Ball. The last thing the Warriors need is another bad shooter. The rest of his (rather average) game doesn't make up for that. As for JJ he's had a terrible start. And watching him run is painful.

Oh man. I love the idea of acquiring Lonzo for Oubre.

I've never been the biggest Lonzo Ball fan, going back to pre-draft. That being said, he is an immediate upgrade. He's a 6-5+ guard who can push in transition and create in the open floor. We don't lose much in the way of shooting, since both he and Kelly are poor from outside. Lonzo makes less flashy defensive plays than KO, but he's arguably a more solid man and team defender.

Lonzo can play next to Steph and even Klay if we retain him next season. But the biggest upgrade here would be IQ and feel for the game. Lonzo isn't the MOST cerebral player, but he grades out well above average on both sides of the floor. More importantly, he would replace our lowest IQ player who has no interest in molding to the team concept.

Lonzo is an instant upgrade. Who knows, maybe he will start shooting better. Would be fun to watch him set up Wiseman in transition. I think that swap is a no brainer for us, assuming no other outgoing assets are involved (draft picks).

I don't know why people want an even worse shooter than Oubre, and not even a better defender.

Lonzo is a better defender than Oubre. KO is a lot like Whiteside - yes he gets counting stats on that end but the nuances of good individual and team defense are totally lost in the process. Its like thinking that KO is a great offensive player based on dunks while ignoring all of the percentages.

Lonzo would be easier to retain. Also the endgame for everybody isn't unloading the ammo for your proverbial star. More than one way to skin this cat.
