I really like him, hope he can figure out NBA defense.

Got a link? That's very interesting

I don't remember where I saw it, but it wasn't there :) But yeah, that's the gist.

I like the idea of him wanting to be good enough to be a lifetime Warrior. He needs to master defense to Steph's level at least and his shooting needs to get considerably better.

Seems like it’s stems from Connor l. Very interesting if true.

I’m curious about his shooting. He started out hot then injured his back and his game tanked.

He was taking a lot of tough shots and he doesn’t get great separation on his shots. He’s going to have to be a great shooter if he wants to have a long career.

All the muscle Nico has put on since Arizona is obvious and paying dividends, particularly on defense. Unfortunately, it appears to have ruined his shot. Hopefully it's something he can adjust to quickly enough.

He was very active on defense and has taken the Warriors approach outside and he shows clear understanding of the defensive concepts. His decision making on offense is quick and generally looks good. I saw a scouting report that tied some of his shooting issues to having been a high volume shooter up until he was in college and that he may be struggling with finding a rhythm because he's never had to find a rhythm without shooting a lot to get there. That was a problem similar to something Klay struggled with early in his career in the NBA and it lead to Klay getting in his head about it. Hopefully Nico doesn't struggle with his confidence because that's a tough recovery.

What I'm noticing is the offense looks organized when he is runinning it. He's under control....isn't afraid to drive while creating an opoportunity for someone else. I hope Wannamaker does more driving and dishing....

One thing the Warriors haven’t had in many many years is a true point guard.

If you ever wondered what a true point guard looks like, then watch Nico. His job is to set others up and run the offense. He adds a bit of calm and structure to the lineup.

I may have been wrong, and he might actually help us this season.

he's showing a lot more quickness than in his UofA film and he's definitely a playmaker

I think we got ourselves a steal, fam

I would be very happy if he turns into a quality backup point guard in time. I really liked the Nico pick because I thought that’s exactly what he could become.

With a late 2nd round pick, I would consider that a success.

I don't know, if he can't shoot that's a hard cap on what he can become as a pro. He only shot 39% for his college career and is currently shooting 10% (1-10) in the NBA. I know, small sample size and all, but I don't know where the optimism is coming from. I've seen nothing that gives me hope his shot will come around, in fact many of his shots have been really ugly, clanking bricks or nearly missing the rim entirely. But it's early, hopefully his shot starts dropping more, that will open everything up for him.

On the plus side, he does show a good feel for the game and a certain craftiness working inside, which is good because his athleticism is mediocre at best. He had a nice move ending in a floater last night that unfortunately didn't go down, but it was a bit of a Curryesque flair. Seems to be pretty good finding the right guy in the right place on the break. I also saw some ability to hesitate and change speeds to keep the defense off balance.

Just remembering a video of him, his shot doesn’t look like it has enough arc. Don’t think he will become a great shooter but a mediocre one. But for second round pick not expecting much.

If we are close to contending near the end of the year, I would not hesitate to dump the younglings for more experienced help.

Klay was a terrible shooter for his first season and a half and he's a top 5 shooter of all-time. Not saying Nico is a Klay or even a good shooter at all, but you gotta give him at least a season. At the very least he's looks like he can be a TJ McConnell type player.
