Free agency wants

So far, we have:

Curry - Poole - Mannion - Bowman
Lee - Mulder
Wiggins - Oubre - JTA
Draymond - Paschall
Wiseman - Looney - Chriss - Smailagic

Klay is obviously out. At least some of these guys will be leaving us (if I was a betting man, I'd say at the very least JTA & Bowman). The team is rounding into shape, but with FA almost here, what do you guys want from it?

We have the TPMLE worth $5.2 mil, vet min contracts, and due to Klay we can most likely get the DPE, which will be worth either $9.2 or $9.7 mil, not sure which.

Assuming we use all those assets, what are your biggest targets?

We obviously need some shooting, another combo guard/wing, vet presence, a true backup PG, etc.

Oubre cost 82 million dollars. He's starting.

Curry - Bowman - Mannion
Wiggins - Poole - Mulder
Oubre - Lee - JTA
Draymond - Paschall - Smailagic
Wiseman - Looney - Chriss

We need a top gun backup PG in my opinion.

Poole is pg.
The problem is we have 4 reliable players in Curry, Wiggins, Oubre, Dray. Paschall, Wiseman, Looney, Chriss are semireliable.
So there should be 3 more reliable vets. To decrease the luxury tax, Looney will be probably traded.
A vet C (mle), a vet 3-4 (dpe) and a vet 1-2 (vet min.) would be ideal.

You don't draft by need, but you can def trade because of need. klay's injury evidently changed some scenarios.
Even tough looney and paschall are good players, considering the situation, they can be expendable in a deal for a PG/SG who can shoot and provide some spacing.

DPE Gasol MLE Howard or Baynes
DPE Gallinari MLE Matthews, Bradley, Holiday, Burks, Bazemore VMT Hood
MLE Teague, VMN Dunn, Augustine, Payton, Jackson

I don't think Dunn is getting less than the MLE personally. Will be very hard to acquire on vet min. I think MCW is probably a more realistic somewhat similar target for the VMN.

Delon Wright is on the move from Dallas. Could be a good pickup

Augustin
Matthews/Bradley/Hood
Gallo/GRIII
Dwight/Baynes

We should be targeting these vets

Joe fricken Harris. Warriors would have the same level of shooting collectively as they would have had with Klay if they add Joe.

why other PF/C ?
I mean, I'd more than happy to get Ibaka for the DPE for example, and to some extent dwight howard with the MLE. but unless they shake the current roster a bit (looney? paschall ? chriss ?) we need help in the backcourt more than in the frontcourt. we need at least 1 player that can shoot and spread the floor decently (either a PG or SG) and possibly another wing who can also knock off open looks and wide open shots.
At the moment we have dray, wiseman in the starting 5 + paschall, chriss, looney, the same oubre (can play minutes as stretch-four) in the frontcourt but only steph, poole, mannion who is a question mark as a rookie and lee as PG/SG (wiggings can play minutes as SG but primarily is a SF). I mean.. if interventions will be made they should be made to improve PG/SG position not PF/C.

There is still remaining space from the TPE that can still be used.

Isaiah Thomas supposedly wants to play backup PG for GSW.

High scoring veteran coming off the bench who finally feels healthy for the first time in years now that he fully recovered from his recent surgery. Obvious downside is lack of size and defense.

How about GRIII coming back? I remember talks of Warriors FO being sad they had to trade him and hoping he could rejoin the team in the offseason.

Give me DJ Augustine, Josh Jackson and Marc Gasol.

It is unreasonable to expect a full 72 games from Curry. I expect at least 5 to 10 games missed. With that in mind a quality veteran PG to run the ship is essential and Augustine is exactly that. I think minutes at the wing are mostly covered between Wiggins, Oubre and Lee, but I would take a flyer on potential with Josh Jackson. There is just not a lot of minutes to offer a FA wing. I love Gasol and feel he is perfect for the Dubs, even as he is nearing the end of his career. He would be perfect to help groom Wiseman. With that in mind, one of Looney, Chris’s or Smiley would need to be moved, just can’t have 5 centers on the roster. GR3 would be a good add if he is willing to take a role with spot minutes.

if several other teams aren't willing to spend, a lot of decent role players can be had for cheap
