Best Case Scenario (as of Nov 2020)

- Warriors win 2021 Title because Steph is MVP, Wiggins is Most Improved Player, Draymond is Defensive Player of the Year and Wiseman is rookie of the year
- Klay comes back near 100% for next season
- Nico looks like long term back up point guard
- Minny gets top 3 pick this year so we get their 2022 pick in which they win the lottery and we draft Emoni Bates

What's your best case scenario?

Wiseman needs to be the next Duncan and Wiggins needs to become the player envisioned when he was chosen first in the draft. Unfortunately both are very unlikely. Then again no one was picking the Warriors to dominate the later 2010s so I won't count it out. Having Steph makes everything a possibility. Steph is a magician and magic can happen around a magician. I expect a rough beginning to the season but if things begin to happen the Dubs will be clicking towards the end of the season.

Steph staying healthy all year and winning a third MVP
Grabbing the 6th seed
Wiseman winning ROY
Wiggins and Oubre hitting 37% from 3
A midseason trade for a young star
Minnesota winning the #4 pick in the Draft

Tbh I think that most of our success will depend on Wiggins improving in our system.
He's going to be the second offensive option and will have a huge role while missing Klay.
If he manages to become a little more efficient thanks to the better team that is surrounding him (compared to what he had in Minnesota) and step up defensively to at least be a decent on-man defender. He's always been good at creating his own shot and he's a terrific athlete, he just needs to use his tools better and he's never really done it in Minnie.
Wiseman is a rookie, don't expect too much. Even AD wasn't anything special on his first season, he broke out in his second year. My hope is that he can be an above average defender by mid-season (he'll need some time to learn the defensive system) and finish well at the rim. No expectations for extended shooting range or any kind of shot creation. Just let him play like DeAndre Jordan and develop him with patience, he's only 19.

I’d say 5th seed knocking off someone in the Playoffs.

The Warriors become the top 5 defense in the league.
Draymond takes Wiggins, Oubre, Wiseman and shapes them to be an aggressive attacking turnover machine.
Warriors, anchored by the shot blocking and quick hands defense, becomes the best fast break team in the league.
Warriors overall show they are a much faster and more athletic team when compared to the 36 year old LeBron and AD.

Wiggins becomes and all-star....averaging 25 points a night....Wiseman is close to the optimistic view folks have had.

Steph reverts to MVP form, ditto Draymond/DPOY, Wiggins and Oubre become reasonably efficient 18-22 ppg scorers and solid defenders, Wiseman focuses on being a competent rim runner and shot blocker (for now), Kerr lets the team play aggressively and run at every opportunity.

If Wiggins turns into a defense guy, them Lord knows how good he can be. It’s a lot to ask a guy to change his mindset from score first, but maybe the light goes on.

-Defense
-Defense
-Defense
-Defense
-Protect Curry on defense (minimize his effort/fouls)
-Run the PnR (easy offense where Curry/Dray are at their best)
-Minimize Curry's effort off the ball. Save them legs and let the young guys work.

Sky's the limit if the can play good defense and keep Curry's legs for the playoffs.

Team wins 50 games
3rd seed in playoffs
Curry 27ppg
Wiggins 22 ppg
Draymond teaches Wiseman to keep his hands up
The defense becomes legit
Wiseman RoY
teams resembles the Suns when they had Nash, Marion, and Amare...but with better defense

Wizards trading Wall and then Beal demanding a trade shortly thereafter and the Warriors are able to nab him for Wiggins, Wiseman, and Paschall.

Honestly I think Wiseman’s greatest contribution this year will be rebounding, an area we’ve woefully short on for years. Nothing more deflating than playing good defense but watching the other team still get 2, 3, 4, 5 chances in the same possession due to the inability to secure a rebound. Hope he’s practicing outlet passes.

I'd like to see Curry break his record for 3 pointers. In a shortened season, he'll need to average almost 6 per game. If anyone can do it, Steph can. Other than that, I'm keeping my expectations low and hoping that we just make the playoffs and avoid the #8 seed so we don't get put to bed early by Lebron.

Best case scenario is we get the 6th seed and have the 11th best record so we keep our pick and don’t have to play in a play in game and then we win the title from the 6th seed.

Exactly. This is really important. We cannot lose that pick, but I think it's important we do make the playoffs and get our young guys some playoff experience. I don't think the seed # matters much to us, just get in. Even if we have to face the Lakers in the first round, it's OK, although I'd prefer to get as many games as possible. And who knows, maybe we'll be better than we expect.
