I was really impressed with Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Josh Christopher tonight. Both showed some impressive three level scoring tonight.

Jay Wright is just incredible with player development.

I was at the golf course with the boys and we ended our round and saw that USF was hanging in there with Virginia. I love the BIG kid on USF. He has a really nice game for a big man. And he’s long.

Best win for that school since the Quentin Daily days

Not a dynamic athlete. That's the only knock I see on him. Jalen green and kominga both look like incredible athletes. I thought cunningham struggled against texas southern until garbage time and the game broke down. Neither his first step nor his jump is explosive, that might limit him.

All that being said, he reminds me a lot of Brandon Roy.

Caleb Murphy has a serious burst of speed and has flair and vision. Looks like a Fox type player.

Great shooting, lots of arc on those shots. I’d like to see him take it to the basket, it looked like a couple of times he pulled up early with an open lane. But there’s a lot to like in that shot.

Jalen Suggs of Gonzaga is just astounding.

A freshman, he’s the best player on the #1 team in the country (Gonzaga). Incredible poise, skill set, leadership. Honestly, on a team with lots of veterans, he seems to be the guy they look to.

Right now, he’s been the most consistent, impressive guy I’ve seen in the early going. Just super-solid, smooth, confident but not cocky. I’ve seen parts of 2 of Oklahoma State’s games, and if you asked me to choose between SUggs and Cade Cunningham, I’d choose Suggs without thinking too hard about it.

I haven’t watched BJ Boston, who seems to be scattered, but I saw some of Stanford’s games and haven’t been very impressed by Ziaire Williams. In their second game, he showed a pretty bad attitude and immaturity, arguing with an official after getting a technical, and being petty after getting called for other fouls (swiping the ball away, etc.....). It looks like he was totally non-existent in Stanford’s third game today, only getting 4 points on 1-10 shooting. He’s got a pretty-looking shot with a lot of arc on it, but he’s going to have to show a lot more in order to live up to the hype.

Of course, less than 10 minutes after I wrote this, Suggs looks like he hurt his ankle pretty badly. Praying it isn’t his Achilles......
