24.3 ppg / 12.0 rbp / 2.0 apg / 1.7 spg / 3.9 bpg / .531% fgp / .732% ftp - ROY

That was David Robinson's rookie year. :o

Probably a couple of points and blocks too many, but should be doable otherwise for Jimmy Wiseguy. :dontknow:

Wiseman is 19 and the Admiral was 22 at least after fulfilling his service duty. I’m hoping Wiseman gets there but I’m not expecting anything close to that.

Robinson played 4 years of college and was like 24 years old when he came into the league....You're comparing apples to Zebras

I really like this when considering Robinson is easily the best comparable to the unique situation of Wiseman. Both were top prospects that took their freshman year off to prep for the pros.

If Robinson, who was not considered as good a prospect as Wiseman, could handle 23mpg 7/7/2... i'd like to see Wiseman get the opportunity to get a similar workload.

I don't expect ROY season from Wiseman, but I do expect him to be in the conversation. He has the opportunity to take minutes here. Looney and Chriss are not big minute entrenched veterans. I expect him to play Chriss off the roster. If he doesn't, Chriss better be pretty damn good.

Chriss shot 244 threes his rookie year. That blew me away when I looked it up. Now I don’t want him shooting that many, but he may surprise people a bit with some range.

If Wiseman doesn't beat out Chris for starting center...he's a bust.

Anyway....I think 15 pts 9 rbs and 1.7 blocks should be enough.

Just like that huh? No context or anything?

I’ll bet you 1000 dollhairs that he isn’t a bust. Go ahead and book mark me.

I wouldnt say he’s a bust cause context matters... but I will be disappointed if he doesnt.

If he doesn't end up starting by the end of the year it would be disappointing. IDK if he starts out the gates though

Staring or not... Wiseman will get plenty of minutes on the floor. That's the main thing. There is a snowflakes chance our 7'1 high potential #2 pick wastes away on the bench. Only thing cutting his minutes is foul trouble.

First of all, we don't have a lot of other great rebounders on the floor with him who will compete for rebounds (Draymond will snatch a few away), second we will play at a fast pace (I'm expecting top 3 in the league) so more possessions and more potential rebounds, third the majority of the time he's going to find himself both the tallest and the most athletic guy on the floor.

So are you saying that Houston thinks high of him and want him for Harden?

Agreed. He literally will be the only post presence on the team as I see Chriss as a more elbo to free throw guy

I agree fully.

And Kerr also said Wiseman needs to play with Steph and Draymond. So take that how you want it.

It’s going to be a lot of fun seeing him go up against KAT, Gobert, Jokic, Ayton, Embiid, etc. Sure, he’ll pick up a lot of fouls and be embarrassed at times. But in there were also going to see flashes of talent at the C position that we haven’t had in forever, maybe where we don’t have to groan when we go up against a big front line and give up a string of possessions from offensive rebounds, maybe where we again have a backstop to stop the layup line when our perimeter defenders get beat.

I watched a bunch of Suns games that year ... that team was run in a bizarre way. Chriss showed flashes but everything seemed haphazard.
