The overwhelming irony of DLo saying the TWolves need to figure out how to lose... after they traded whats likely to be a lotto pick to acquire him. Nah man I think they've got a good handle on it actually

I want Russell to play 48 minutes a night.

Not necessary, just his 29 mpg is enough to completely destroy any chance of the timberwolves winning.
You in here criticizing your team and making that pick sound more good makes me feel a little dirty.

Good kind though.

Looking bleak. I dunno how next season would look, but lets hope KAT demands a trade and we get top 5 2022(Maybe 1st overall) and set up with twin towers Chet and Wiseman or If highschoolers are allowed we get Emoni Bates

TS% for the Wolves in 142 minutes with Rubio on the floor = 56.0%. Not amazing, but around average for the league.
TS% for the Wolves in 149 minutes without Rubio on the floor = 49.5%.

TS% for the Wolves in 175 minutes with D’Angelo Russell on the floor = 49.5%.
TS% for the Wolves in 113 minutes with D’Angleo Russell off the floor = 57.7%
TS% for the Wolves in 62 minutes with both Rubio and Russell on the floor = 54.3%, which means the team has a lower TS% than 49.5% when Rubio isn’t on the floor with him…it actually falls to 46.8%

Defensive rating with Russell on the floor = 124.5
Defensive rating with Russell off the court= 100.0

When Rubio is on the court, but Russell is off, the Timberwolves have an offensive rating of 116.5 and DRtg of 112.3. (+4.2)
When Russell is on the court, but Rubio is off, the Timberwolves have an offensive rating of 89.8 and DRtg of 123.4. (-33.6)

I feel for you. For your sanity's sake, I hope you get a game where DLo goes off soon. He's good for a few of those and they can be quite fun to watch. Otherwise, yeesh.

Out of curiosity, how is the rest of the TWolves board enjoying the DLo experience? Does your opinion of DLo make you a black sheep?

DLo actually had a half where he played GREAT last night. These stats include that great game/half.

I'd say most people recognize that he's been horrendous. reddit is going with "proven all-star in this league! it's everyone else's fault! People just play much worse when they play with DLo by coincidence every single time." Canishoopus is having a historical debate about whether this is the worst 6 game stretch ever played by a timberwolves player (quick answer: yes, probably). RealGM is kind of split. DLo being TERRIBLE is a hard truth to face since we have no way out.

Man, I’m hyped if Warriors can somehow land a #4-7 pick from Minny.

Steph, Klay and Draymond all back next season with James Wiseman and Jalen Green or Ziaire Williams, Jonathon Kuminga, Scottie Barnes, etc. as the two future All-Stars. Perfect transition period of having our 3 core guys while they’re still effective and having young guys to develop at the same time.

I have a feeling the best play is gonna be to trade this pick. But nothing is gonna happen until summer

If we get a top 8 pick, we have to be getting back somebody like Paul George if we're using Wiggins contract. Wiggins value is slowly getting better and I'm not trading him and that pick for somebody like Beal.

Oh don't worry....Rebounds are about "desire and hustle".

The pick is safe ;)

I don't see how the Wolves win another game without KAT. People talk about D'lo having special games with us but honestly we only ever won in spite of D'lo, never because of him. Even his best games were wins because Kerr's such a good defensive coach and got everyone else to play winning basketball when D'lo wouldn't.
