Re: Is Wiggins tradeable?
It seems like a key motivator to move Kelly Oubre was a desire to retain his $14 mil salary cap slot for use on another player down the line. But $14 mil is meh. $33 mil is WOW!

Let's split the difference and sign Kelly to a $33m deal this offseason.

Bradley Beal (current salary: $28,751,775) would fit nicely into an Andrew Wiggins TPE ($33,616,770).
His current salary no longer matters
34.502M next season
Wiggins doesn't make 33.616M until his final season, his alleged TE would only have worked this season. In short - there's no deal where we can use a Wiggins TE to acquire Beal. We'd have to get an expiring contract back for Wiggins (or acquire one with a TE, whatever) and then use that to get Beal
The only way we're acquiring Beal now is via Wiggins. Which WSH might be OK with, considering their current timeline of bad contracts. But still, we'd have to pay a lot. Beal is a superstar.

Oops I knew that Wiggins salary next season is $31,579,390.
Regarding Beal's salary, the first year of his new contract would just need to fit into the Wiggins TPE, so I use his salary this season just to show the fit is feasible.
Beal will be UFA, so what Warriors need to do is create the TPE, woo Beal, then give Washington something enticing to agree to the sign and trade. I would be willing to give up a lot to do that sign and trade. What about that does not work in theory?

If you sign and trade for Beal, then Steph, Dray, and Klay take up nearly all of the rest of the room under the hard cap that it would trigger and you can't fill out the rest of the roster.

In my scenario you aren't adding any salary at all, you're just swapping Beal (or Kawhi, or Giannis) for Wiggins' cap slot.

The point of that post is that if you get Beal in a S&T you are hard-capped. The projected hard cap line next season is around $142M. Give Beal around $30M and those 4 players add up to about $137M. That leaves you about $5M to work with and you still need 10 more players. Can't be done.
