I liked what I saw out of Wiseman, the guy just needs to get some consistent minutes and his comfort level will improve greatly.
If we focus on process and not results Oubre took very few shots he shouldn't have taken tonight. He is a finisher not a decision-maker and not a facilitator. When the ball finds him in a scoring position it's his job to take the shot. If that shot happens rombe in the paint, sometimes help defenders are gonna alter the shot. But asking him to make drive and dish plays or hockey assists is taking him out of his core competency.
I just felt like he rarely did something that disrupted the flow last night. Even if he didn't produce at a high efg% he was doing what he's supposed to do in the spots where the ball foun him. And he let the ball find him.
In general as long as he stops camping out in Steph's spots his offensive forays are not nearly as much of a proboem for us as his undisciplined defensive free lancing. Draymond makesnjudisious defensive Gamble's when he knows the defense is in a position to recover if he doesn't make the play. Wiggins is learning to do the same as abukie specifically highlighted in his half court steal, it was a good time to gamble because there was a set defense behind him. Oubre is kinda just out there Spamming X when the ball comes near him.
When playing with reserves it's whatever. It's all busted plays and chaos anyway. But when he's playing with our starters he has to reign it in and show rotation and assignment discipline.
All this is probably why he's going to want out if he can get a decent contract offer elsewhere. Per his pouty interview after the trade deadline he is still of the mindset that "what he has to offer" is more important than sacrificing for a team concept.
