Agreed. But, understand that other people need time to arrive at this conclusion on their own. The vast majority are still deep in the denial phase.

They said the same about Lonzo. He was a disaster his rookie year. A total wreck. Now he can at least play.

Tyreke Evans looked great from the start, but where is he?

You never know. What they should have done is trade the pick for some established rotation players given their need. But the plan was to play fantasy basketball for the front office and rebuild with young players. They did the same when they chose Jones over McGee. And they made the same mistake again where they don't have the proper big men. They have a bad habit of choosing injured centers. They struck lightning with Bogut now they don't choose centers unless they are injured.

The raptors had multiple defenders on wiggs, so instead of helping him with screens or run him as facilitator, they played the motion and other players took the wide open shots.

I saw that happen sometimes. I also saw opportunities for Wiggins to get going but he played passive. I mean we know this about him, its not a secret. He doesnt have the killer instinct DNA. He's never going to tell his team that he's the best player, jump on his back.

And that's fine. But even though we shouldnt expect that from him (ie expect it to work), the team needed someone like that. If we're dumping those expectations on Poole.. we shouldn't be surprised by the result. Especially the night after he rolled an ankle. He got to the rim a lot less than he usually does, clearly on a bad wheel

Agree that Wiggins is passive offensively, and can drive one insane if you're expecting more. But he still played well. We needed more... well yeah, but that doesn't mean he didn't play well. Poole wasn't good tonight, rolled ankle could be the reason. Just a bad night could be the reason. Combination of the two? Whatever the reason, he was really bad tonight. Wiseman level bad.

You aren't wrong, its just a weird standard he's held to because of his poor rookie year.. like the talent we saw couldn't have been real, but the 20 year old rookie playing in a disjointed season without any stars to help him, that was who he is

Hard to have fun when you want to play well but are outmatched and don’t do anything well.
