Steph's MVP level play this year will attract free agents for next season

Steph looks like peak Steph and players are going to want to come and play with him. Some players may even force their way to play with the Splash Bros next season 8-)

No way to really know but Steph is certainly making a very good case.

He's doing this without Klay on a garbage team. Imagine what he could do with an average one?

That there are even people who thought he couldn't do anything without Klay shows there is a problem with how Curry has been presented. He shouldn't even need to be doing what he is doing now to make people reconsider.

I guess you're talking about low-level ring chasers, since the Warriors can't sign any high level FAs, but guess what--ring chasers look at the team, and whether the team has any chance at a ring. The Warriors are going to have to make major improvements before they're considered a favorable destination for a ring chaser.

Think bigger. What happens when a star says "I want to play with him, get me there"

Hopefully we can sign and trade Oubre for a TPE. That's like the only way we can get a significant free agent.

Speaking of DeRozan, he would be an awesome fit as a 6th man, 1st guard off the bench, providing scoring and playmaking. He also improved as a defender over the years.

But he's surely searching for his last big contract, it will not happen here.

Those numbers aren't what sets him apart though. Others have had such runs. Combine them though with his efficiency and the kind of coverage he is facing....

That's the thing, no other guard in the game faces the same type of defense Steph does. Especially not throughout an entire game. It reminds me of watching prime Randy Moss seeing double coverage from every secondary and it didn't matter. The fact that he's doing this at 33 is insane

Are there any free agents that we actually want next year?
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

There's some players I'd pursue on the minimum or partial MLE. Langston Galloway would be nice next to Poole as a combo guard. Sterling Brown is probably going to play out of our price range in Houston, but he's a solid shooter and an exceptional rebounder for his position. James Johnson would also be a great small ball 5 with or without Dray.

I love Steph, however I just don't see him playing the role of recruiter. He's so down to earth, what's he got to offer incoming players...cookies Ayesha baked? Meanwhile, you've got LeBron in LA and Durant in NYC offering a platinum key to those respective glitzy cities. Honestly, I highly doubt we'd ever have landed Iggy long-term had it not been for his connection to Myers.

?? The entire reason Andre came here is because he wanted to play with Steph. Lacob is on the record saying that an associate of Andre's insinuated to him DURING the 2013 playoffs series against Denver that Andre wanted to come here. Andre didn't even get halfway through his meeting with the Warriors in 2013 before he told Lacob and management that he didn't need to see their presentation because he already knew he wanted to be a Warrior and if they could clear the cap space for him, he'd come.
