and if they get the 4th pick from Minny

Pick 2 - Jaden Springer/Ziaire Williams

Zaire was highly rated and had a disappointing season but I like his potential.

Once teams go through the scouting process, no way Ziaire will be available that late. His package of length/quickness/bounce is unique in this draft. He needs to add muscle but he's a can't miss prospect with his ball-handling, court vision and scoring ability. We'll need the Minny pick to have a chance at him.

I'll tell you one thing: if we manage to get the 4th pick with the lottery balls, and if we manage to nail both picks (4th/17th), then we'll have the roster of a 10-year contender, barring some unforeseen injury, obviously.

Imagine having Wiseman/Jalen Green (or Suggs)/Ziaire (or Springer, etc), plus Poole, Jessup... all these 5 players on a supporting role for Curry, Klay, Green, Wiggins, Looney, etc. Getting invaluable experience, having less pressure, deep playoff runs, playing for a quality organization, and so on.

We would be set.

Quick, fire Myers and Kerr!

New dream scenario as of 5 minutes ago:

The magic ping pong balls land us #3 (our pick, Lacob can tip Adam Silver. Actually he kind of owes us one from last years lotto) and we get #6 with the Twolves pick.

Jalen Green #3 and Scottie Barnes #6

They helped JTA with his shot, they can help Barnes. His form is there.

Curry/Klay/Wiggins/Green/Wiseman
Poole/Green/Barnes/JTA/Looney
Mannion (2w)/Mulder/Jessup/EP

I like Ziaire, Giddy, Wagner, Springer so far. My mind could be change though and I havent really looked too close at the other options

I hope the Utah/Memphis series ratings are so bad so that Silver helps us out here lol.

We absolutely can not add Barnes to the roster as long as we have draymond on the team
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

Sure we can. Green is going to be a bench player in a year or two.

That said, when the dream comes true and the Warriors get #1 and #4 the team will be:

Vets:
Curry
Klay
Wiggins
Dray
Looney

Young development team:
Cade
Poole
Jalen Green
JTA
Wiseman

You can't say that wouldn't be fun team to watch develop :)

So you agree the dream is not to draft Barnes. Most teams can't survive with a perimeter player that can't shoot.

I absolutely would not draft barnes at #1 or #4. At a later pick? Eventually I would go for Barnes. It's not an absolute no.

Just curious, who is on your board above Scottie Barnes?

To me the top 4 are obvious. The next group is Kuminga, Moody, Johnson. The group after that is Barnes, Mitchell, Williams, Bouknight, Kispert.

Jalen Johnson rather than Keon Johnson, right?

I prefer JJ over KJ, but I always thought JJ reminded me of Billy Owens and draftnet comps KJ to Sprewell, lol

He's amazing. He will skyrocket draft boards from here till draft day.

He's in the 6/10 range for me.

I said previously he's similar to Domantas Sabonis, Clyde said Kevin Love... but no, he's much more explosive around the rim than them. Dunks a lot. Excellent, crafty passer. Ultra efficient.

He looks like a young Pau Gasol out there.

6’10” wingspan is concerning, if accurate. He’s going to struggle to be a defensive presence if that’s real, and that could be a big problem. He doesn’t have outstanding athleticism that could compensate for it. I’d really want to understand if that’s right or not.

He looks like he’s got good moves, awareness, and decent (not great) agility on offense. But having watched the first 5-6 minutes of the video, his opponents don’t have anywhere near the athleticism and quickness that he’ll face in the NBA. He may have a lot of potential, but he’s going to need time - and a lot of it - to work on his own athleticism and to adapt to the speed and intensity of the NBA game.

This scenario can't happen. We are six now if Minny holds that slot. If we jump ahead of them, then the best we can have is 3 and 7 in your scenario
