On average there are around 70 total male humans under 40 years old in the USA that are at least 7 feet tall. There are 30 NBA teams that all would like to have 2. Short of injury he's going to be in the NBA in 5 years.

Actually I now wonder if there has ever been a top 5 pick 7 footer who didn't make it 5 years NOT because of health issues? (And I'd count drug issues as a health issue just in case).

Hasheem Thabeet was a stiff from Day One and he still lasted years in the Association. Wiseman has far, far more potential.

Been a huge Wiseman hater this past season, but now that I’m over not selecting Lamelo Ball - I’m all in (again) on Wisemans development. I don’t think he’ll make a huge leap year 2, but in years 3-4. He’s already practicing guard skills like dribbling, driving, 3pointers....in a few years if he keeps practicing he can be a really good player.

No idea on how many All-Star games Wiseman will/will not make. However, his jump shot is already at age-20 more polished than the Greek Freak's. While we cannot mention Wiseman and Giannis in the same sentence when talking about defense and rebounding (Wiseman is horrible at both...sigh...), Wiseman has a natural stroke to his shot, and Giannis does not.

Off-season and training camp are crucial, but a lot depends on how he recovers and rehabs from the knee surgery. I haven't seen any progress reports on him which would be welcome.

If nothing else he can be working on the mental parts of the game even during rehab.
