I didn't realize that Mike Muscala had left the Thunder and joined the Celtics. He would seem to be a logical option if available.

I wish the Warriors never let McGee go. He was the perfect backup big. Didn’t need a lot of minutes, knew his role, lob threat, mobile, etc.

Nico Mannion expected to play for Milwaukee Bucks in NBA Summer League
The Warriors still hold his NBA rights, but only if they tender him a QO (about $1.7M) (a two-way contract qualifying offer), by June 29, as they have for the last two years, which makes him a restricted free agent. Otherwise he's an unrestricted free agent.
Edited for corrections.

I had a similar thought watching the game last night.
Cody is under contract for $7.5M next season and appears to be the Kris to the Keegan Murray.

what kind of contract do you think Dwight Powell will get this offseason? more than the vet min I'm guessing but he wouldn't be the worst backup big.

What you guys think the fit/obtainability of Bates-Diop is? Seems like he may be a vet min type and capable shooter. Not really a big, but bigger than JTA who played big positions for us.

Both guys out of our price range since all we have is the vet minimum to spend on free agents.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
I've been looking at fringe NBA players who can play a specific role on the Warriors roster, but also guys who might want to play here.
Guard - Austin Rivers. Competent ball handler and can score. 35% career 3point shooter.
Guard - Patrick Beverly.
Center - Meyers Leonard. Can shoot and stretch the floor. Will 100% be easy to get at vet minimum. A lot of the other true bigs is hard to see for the veterans minimum.

yeah, I was looking at the free agent market and it's pretty sparse in the Dub's price range. I could see Rivers as an option if Ryan Rollins is still a year away from helping the team. I think Bev wants to get paid again and I'm not so high on Leonard, because of his defense, but I can see the fit on offense.

I wouldn't mind Austin Rivers but why would we bring in Pat Beverley if we already have GP2. We're paying GP2 10m.

I actually believe the Warriors will unload GPII and Poole to save salary. LOVE GP2, but if Lacob wants to get under $400m which I heard then they got to make some decisions.

The only role I really want is a shot blocker.

I've liked him for a couple years in this system.. I dont know where his value is at, but if he's at the stage where he's signing min deals with a 2nd non-gtd year tacked on, I'd be all over that. If its just a min deal, that's more than fine as well. Smart player, jack-of-all-trades/master-of-none type. We could use him
other vet I'm totally in on is Joe Ingles.. smart, tough veteran. Plus in terms of being realistic, he's the closest thing to a Dray replacement you're gonna find out in free agency
I'm also on board with bringing in Nerlens Noel for 5-10mpg in the Javale role, half because I think it could work, and half because it would effectively end the chatter about bringing in expensive plodders
