Exum makes too much sense. I think he must have slept with Myers wife or something.

Of course it was personal with GS veterans and the veteran Bradley. And I think he would have stuck had it not buzz sawed into Lacob's extreme losses with the worst possible timing between the COVID and opening of Chase Center.

We saw the staggering cost of the team as is. Which the shrewd guy like Lacob was probably aware of what he was getting into. But I don't think he was sweating that much with the intend of Chase largely making up the difference in operating cost vs. income coming in from other sources (Radio/TV revenue, advertising revenue and so on).

Well, COVID happened in the most inopportune time and wrecked that. Last year Chase was non existent at all and who knows what it will bring in this year with the COVID lingering around. Think about the team's payroll and the cost of building the Chase Center. With the later literally not bringing in a dime vs what it was calculated and intended to bring.

So, If Lacob brings in someone into the 15th spot, that player in reality is much, much higher than that (the current version of Bradley is far from it). He better be in the pecking order of rotational usage and winning contribution. So yes, this is where Lacob is going to draw the red line, Curry / Green or not. And to tell the truth, I don't blame him.

Whoever they bring in will be on a minimum non-guaranteed contract, which is what Bradley got from the Lakers. The longer they keep the spot open, the cheaper it gets.

I share your bias, and also thought he looked good in the Olympics, particularly defensively, and more to the point healthy.

I guess the senior players might be proved right if they lose early season games due to lack of guard defense, or Curry gets worn out playing too much defense, but they also wanted Mark Jackson kept as has been said.

Otherwise as has also been said it may be smart to have flexibility to get a player closer to the play-offs who might offer significantly more, 10 million for a 15th man is steep in anybody’s money at this stage in proceedings. I can forgive Lacob being a little wary with the cheque book, without Covid etc he would have ended up paying $80 million last year for a player who actively hindered the team ,

I love several parts of his game, but he can't be expected to be there most games. That said, I'd rather have him signed to a non-guaranteed contract than GP2, but it's not a big swing one way or the other.

I guess the Warriors felt bad about taking the $700k opening day guarantee from Payton, so they gave half back.

Avery Bradley's line against the Suns ... 21 minutes, 0-3, 2 fouls, +/- of -25. Eep.

Also known as The Avery Bradley Special.

I hope Steph and Dray are watching those box scores too. The last thing we need is hard feelings between players and management over Avery Bradley, of all people.

Good for Mulder, glad he caught on somewhere. That was the last two-way slot in the league, every other team had filled two already.

What are the rules about teams getting out of 2-way deals?

Similar to non-guaranteed contracts, teams can replace them any time. One change this season is that salaries are no longer contingent on how many days a player is on the big team, it's now a flat salary of half the rookie minimum, $462,629. Salaries are fully guaranteed on Jan 20. They still don't add to the tax bill, though.

Based on that I'm a little surprised 2-ways have not been more volatile in-season.

Marc Gasol with 19 and 16 in his first exhibition game in the Spanish league.

Is there any indication he'd come back say around March to try to sign with an NBA team?
