Here's a mental exercise for you:

The Warriors are in the finals and they start tomorrow. Who in that list do you keep?

If you had to choose one for your finals roster right now, Bell or Wiseman?
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

If the finals was tomorrow? Between those two, Bell.

What would you do? Pick Wiseman?

Garrison Matthews is interesting. He's similar to Jessup. Worth a try IMO.

Exum and Dunn are enticing as well.

Too bad we would be paying almost 10 mi in salary + tax bills for the 15th roster spot, if I'm not mistaken.

Is Dunn healthy? He was a terrific defender not long ago. Think I'd prefer GP2 over him just due to continuity.
Exum sounds good but the Rockets cutting him doesnt seem like a ringing endorsement. Still I'd want to take a look at him.
Chriss would be nice to bring back. I suppose if we bring back an extra big man he should actually give us some size as opposed to just adding another undersized player "big".

Initially I was thinking Chriss would be the best of these guys to bring in, but starting to lean Exum now.

Save it for when Denver cuts Austin Rivers and we can finally sign him.

This pick is just for the finals starting now and then this player disappears? Probably taking Wiseman. Neither produces much of value currently but Wiseman is 7 feet tall and disrupts more shots at the rim than Bell. Neither are prolific rebounders but last year Wiseman had a TRB% of 14.4 compared to Bell's career mark of 13.9. Finals are very short and if that means Wiseman gives me one extra rebound than Bell, I'd rather have that than not have it. Bell is a career 20% 3-point shooter while Wiseman shot 32%; in a short series, those couple of 3's that Wiseman could give me that Bell cannot/will not, I'd rather have them than not have them. Do I get to keep this pick after the finals are over, win or lose? Definitely taking Wiseman over Bell.

Sumner tore his Achilles in September, so he’s out for the year.
That's too bad. Always liked his potential but a torn ACL might be the end for him since his game relies on athleticism so much.

In that case, with the currently available options I'd go Dunn, then Exum. But I don't mind leaving the spot open for buyout options.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

The problem with Dunn is really the same as with Payton. IMO if either of them are getting minutes it's because either Curry or Poole is injured and the team needs a guy to cover backup minutes with the other one out. At that point the team needs a PG with solid offensive skill to keep the offense from collapsing. A defensive specialist combo guard who you'd try to hide on offense isn't a good fit.

If the vets on this team already weren't happy about cutting Bradley this will probably make it seem even worse. I feel like my 2 year old right now, I didn't care that he was cut but now that he's a Laker I kinda wish we kept him!

At the end of the day though I think they made the right call. They can sign GPII to a non-guaranteed deal if he's healthy and save the spot for a potential difference maker down the line.

If the Lakers start him due to injury tomorrow night, what a blessing that would be for Steph.. run him through some screens and he's done, and then Steph wont have to exert much on defense either. Win win

He was really good for us in summer league. I was actually disappointed that he wasn't coming to camp. I'm not against this.

I went with other ... use it on non-guaranteed players that can be moved and switched out as needed over the season as injuries come up or other talents become available. The same as how they should use the 2-way contracts.
