Warriors looked old last night. They should really dig into managing minutes and days off.
They need a healthy core for the playoffs. I’d rather risk 4 or 5 regular season losses to try and maximize post season health.

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

Opposite for me. I don't expect Tyrus Jones or Williams to have career nights. Paul, Booker, & Ayton scare me.
They won't they need career nights from either when Brooks returns.
I ain't worried about Brooks either. Curry has torched the supposed Curry stopper multiple times, including 46 before Christmas.
That doesn't change the fact Brooks is one of the better two players in the league. Memphis is very dangerous. Brooks, Clarke, Jackson and Adams is a really good frontcourt that would present us plenty of problems along with Morant and Bane in the backcourt.

wait you can't see warriors games with LP if they are on NBATV? how does that make sense?
There is a blackout on "nationally televised games." That's no problem if the game is on ESPN or TNT, which most people have. But they also consider NBATV to be a national broadcast.

Cool story. Are there any other wildly illegal trades we should make?
Poole: $2.1m
Lee: $1.9m
Hield: $23m
So you just need to find another $19m in filler and we'd be good to go.
crzyyafrican makes the best sigs, quite frankly

CPH, you're messing up people trying to fix a broken franchise. We need them, and we are nothing without them. Only a small coterie of bold-hearted fans with big dreams and no grasp of reality can save this team from utter failure.

People thinking Draymond missing is the key issue are missing the point. He’s not some offense savant and a lot of his offense comes off the brilliance of curry. Of course his presence or lack thereof would be amplified if the alternative is to give the ball to likes of Porter and JTA to make plays, one never known to be a playmaker and the other a g league scrub.
Why is Kerr so stubborn that even when he doesn’t have the pieces he insists on playing the same way? Like we get it, your offense works with Curry off ball IF, and only IF you have another good on ball player making decisions. How the heck you gonna give the ball to scrubs like JTA over your superstar PG to make decisions over the course of a game. How can you keep insisting on playing the same way when your personal has changed. In fairness he tried to have Iggy playmake but at this point the dude is absolute cooked. This is where the lack of a true secondary playmaker of the bench shows its ugly head. Still though, you could mitigate this with more curry on ball…just for a game even damnit
Kerr struggles to adapt which is why Kenny Atkinson is likely key for this staff.

He’s chucking hard out there and his body language has been bad at times when he doesn’t get the ball.
That play is just terrible, it’s not like it’s some scrub taking that shot, it’s Stephen freaking Curry.
Something about Klay seems off and it might be worrisome

Klay is eager to make up for lost time. There is going to be an adjustment period, especially for wiggs. What made wiggs do effective while klay was gone was that he was aggressive and could spot up. Right now he is willing to just take a back seat and be the 4th option behind steph, klay, and poole. Its not horrible since he sends to be our best 3pt shooter right now., but it limits the offense.

Team had the best record NBA before Klay back. Players had own roles and play very well as a team….Boom Klay return, like Jordan - the best player in world, and shoots on every possession with 37,5 usg. Wiggs/Poole are lost immediately…Kerr needs to do something

Are some people overreacting because of the loss to Memphis?
1. Green did not play because of a calf injury.
2. The Warriors, especially Poole and Wiggins, are adjusting to the addition of Thompson to the rotation.
3. Kerr probably should have played GP II earlier in the game, especially with how he, Payton, is the only player on the roster who has had any success in defending Ja.
4. Kuminga was held out because of bi-lateral (both knees) knee soreness, and he was another player who could keep up with Ja.
5. Curry has difficulty when having to face longer-and-more athletic defenders; Memphis is Curry's kryptonite.
With a fully-integrated Thompson, a healthy Green and Kuminga, I would bet on the Warriors every time when faced off with Memphis, especially in a playoff matchup.

Re: Game 40, Warriors at , Klay game 2 at 9 game winning streak Grizzles, Tues Jan 11 5 PM PST,
Of course they're overreacting. They always do. Their underlying narrative is that the coaches/management/designated players of the moment are doing something wrong that the fans see but the coaches, etc., don't. And that the fans could fix it, but the coaches, etc., can't because they're incompetent or stubborn or whatever.
It's incredibly self-important, and it's usually wrong or so obvious that it isn't worth saying at all. Go back and read the game threads and you see the pattern again and again. This, btw, is why I don't participate in game threads. It's just fans saying, "Wiggins is crap" when he misses a shot or a defensive stop, or "Curry's been ruined by the rotations" when Curry doesn't play well. When he puts the team on his back and plays great, even with the same rotation, it seldom gets mentioned by those particular fans because it doesn't fit their narrative. And when someone argues with them, they complain they're being suppressed and silenced.
Honestly, read some old game threads and see how often you'd never know the team is actually going to win the game being discussed. It's the kind of analysis that lives entirely in the moment, and that moment is always "We're doomed, and only the fans know how to fix this."
Thank the basketball gods there are lots of folks on this board with perspective and useful things to say or I'd have given it up a long time ago.
