Draymond out for at least 2 more weeks

The calf injury is connected to a back injury.

Usually in that case.. sciatic nerve damage/impingement. That can linger

Draymond blew up when David Lee was hurt.

Let’s see if Kuminga can do the same.

Porter will have to start and play major mins now. He is no Draymond but very reliable shooter and good defender and passer

Cut Chiozza and sign Tacko Fall, then sign a big power forward to a 10 day contract.

Toscano, Wiggins and Porter are a little under sized for power forward. Wiseman isn't playing.

Kuminga sometimes looks like a cross between Karl Malone and Michael Jordan but if Kuminga was really a cross between Karl Malone and Michael Jordan he would be grabbing a lot more than 1 rebound be 36 minutes. Actually Kuminga is getting 6.6 rebounds per 36 minutes. I would prefer 8.5 rebounds per 36 from a guy with a bodyblike his but 6.6 rebounds is OK. He has started rebounding again after not rebounding in December. About half of NBA players have their best per minute rebounding numbers of their career in their 1st or 2nd year. Rookies go for the ball. Rookies don't box out and let the ball drop to one of their teammates. Rookies either overplay the help defense or don't play any help defense. Rookies foul a lot, particularly over the back loose ball foul calls but rookies do rebound well normally.

I thought the same thing... although Dray was already a second or third year player by that time. (not a rookie)

They can't sign a 10-day hardship player since they have no one in protocols. They would have to open a roster spot to sign a 10 day contract.

Oh, thanks. Actually Bjelica could be the big power forward if he was not the back up center. So just cut Chiozza amd sign Tacko Fall.

What is the rule on two way players? They are only allowed to play 50 games or something like that on the NBA team. What happens when you cut a two way player who has played a lot of games(Chiozza) and replace him with a new Two Way player who has already played a bunch of NBA games for the Cavs who cut him. If a two way player is not allowed to play in more than a certain number of NBA games would we have to add Chiozza's game to Tacko Fall's games when we are essentially exchanging two way players?

They really need to move away from small ball until the last month of the season. D’antoni and Nelly have run some guys into the ground playing fast and out of position.

More pick and rolls, Steph using more midrange instead of driving and breaking free for a three. And playing guys at their normal size for defense.

They tweaked two-way rules for the pandemic. They can play unlimited regular season games, but still not the playoffs. Two-way contracts are guaranteed for the full season on Jan 20, so if they want to change the would do it before then.

How does small ball affect sciatica?

Seeing him fight against much bigger guys and watching him falling on the ground hard multiple times this season isn’t doing him any favors.

I’m surprised he lasted this long without problems.

Offense failed tonight. It looks neither Poole nor Wiggins are first options. No Curry Garvity but another question is "how important is Draymond's passing"?

The cynical GM needs to start looking at trades and maybe even consider some blockbusters.

Myles Turner and Sabonis.

Damian Jones and Jordan Bell.

Ben Simmons.

What are other names?

Robin Lopez maybe?
Theis?
Muscala?
Capela?
Marc Gasol?

Theis is actually excellent on the switch, he’s not the biggest guy but he’s a smart defender who’s always in good position with good timing. What Theis lacks in brute size he makes up for in having the foot speed to get to the spot defensively.

Personally I am more in favor of Robin Lopez. Guys a true 7-0 who’s really strong and a vet in the league. His physical profile fills more of the Bogut/Zaza role of clogging the paint on defense and setting some monster screens on offense. Curry and Klay will get some real nice looks with Lopez.

They should go to Kings if they are serious about offering Haliburton in a trade. I don't think they can make any major salary cap exchanges, so the best options are working on the fringes for low salary trades, buyouts, and vet mins. Winning the championship or coming very close to it this year will be very important for the future of this franchise.

Robin Lopez wants to hang out at Disney World, I doubt he's going anywhere. Fan favorite in Orlando too, it seems like.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

I was thinking the same thing. Though Draymond won't be so quickly replaced, this is still a great window for Kuminga to get minutes and refine his game.
