After Lee’s disastrous stint in the first half, Kerr would have been run out of town if he played Lee again.
Lee looked for his shot but was 0-3. No point in him being out there if he can’t make shots.

Looney helped me prove my point, a Center is needed.

I've always felt the officials have a tremendous ability to set the tone early in a game. The tone they set tonight was to do everything they could to eff up the game.
The main ref guy I forget his name is the worst ref in the NBA by far IMO

No one said a center wasn't needed. The point was that it's a specific type of center that is needed. And loon is that type of C. Not gobert, not sabonis.

It would be nice if he would stop throwing every backdoor pass out of bounds. He's not even getting the proper angle to attempt them.

We've been critical of the team's trainers due to injuries, but whoever takes the lead on our conditioning really needs to get a high five. There are so many games where things look close, but then as the game wears on, the opponent just slows down more and more, and we don't.

Draymond with the increasing gray in his beard but same emotional intelligence of the 20 year old with the chip on his shoulder for not getting drafted in the first round.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet...But, when was the last time the team won and Draymond had a +/- of anything near his -19 tonight?

The league may be evolving into one where centers like Looney are the most useful.

Re: WCF Game 2: GSW vs DAL
Watching this 2nd game. It's becoming clear what the luka plan is.
Tire him out.
Luka was attacking wiggs early, but those were tough buckets.
Wiggs would attack luka early to get him moving in any kind of action.
Wiggs continues to guard for 94 feet. See a stat that says because of this, luka is taking 25% more dribbles and 25% longer to get into his sets compared to the suns series.
Wiggs bends that fence in the 1h.
Then the speed guys come in to hunt. Steph, poole, etc.. either go at luka or force him to be late on helps.
This also gets luka off the boards.
Watch how many times in the 2h that luka doesn't get off the floor for rebounds, defense, etc..
He is worn out then resorts to just taking jumpshots. It's also why i think he went at loon instead of wiggs, less energy expended.
Watching wiggs still have that 1q energy fighting those screens in the 2h crushed luka.
And lastly, klay is the target for the mavs on defense. That much was clear.

Yep. I think that's also by design. Wiggins didn't finish with a great FG%, but he was making Luka work on D very early. Same with Steph when he would force a switch.Chris Porter's Hair wrote:We've been critical of the team's trainers due to injuries, but whoever takes the lead on our conditioning really needs to get a high five. Luka is amazing, but he's still human. That stuff does add up.
They also have the Steph problem where they're susceptible to a boat race every time he sits. They got away with it against Phoenix, but they didn't have Poole coming off the bench. They went 10 deep in non garbage time minutes with their bench going 5/18 for 13 points.
Insult to injury, their best bench defender--Frank--is unplayable against us. They will score more at home, but Kidd has to cut at least Green and Frank out of his rotation if he wants to win. And even then, Bertans is a massive liability on defense.
