Superstitious are we?

12 yrs ago, I wore the same t-shirt every game during Auburn’s 14-0 undefeated season. It worked!

Worked the first 2 games the following season, then a loss, so had to retire it. Hey, it went 16-1!

So I get it.

I'm 3-0 in the finals when I make the game thread. Let's push it to a clean 4-0 sweep tonight.

PERFECT 4-0!! Well done!!

Right...so why don't we just defend the 3? You can still hard double when they're ready to shoot, but this team can't create. They have no PG.Their whole strategy is drive and kick.

That’s exactly the strategy we have deployed since Game 1. And it worked so damn beautifully. I was so damn proud of our defense running at every 3 BEFORE they started their jump shot motion and not just during or after.

I said it all series since Game 1…all they have is the 3, which goes against a team with their size at the guards as Tatum & Brown should be dominant in the paint. Tatum does not do well in the paint. Puts his head down, rarely kicks it out, takes contested fade-away jumpers and places his hopes on getting fouled.

Just watched the 21-0 run and also the entire 4th quarter again. Looking at it again, it looked like Boston had pissed off the gods. Sure, they struggled in various ways that were their own fault, or were caused by the Warriors.... but they also had so many baskets that looked like there was no way to miss, including a dunk by R.Will, that somehow popped back out of the basket. They could have played exactly the same and had 8 more points. And that would have changed the entire end scenario.

The basketball gods took away one shot for each egregious flop? Although that would mean taking away about 50 points.

Heh, true. Watching it the second time I was able to focus on Smart's antics more.

WOW.

Poole went on a flurry to stretch out the lead during that run.

He's kind of a heat check shooter.

Nice to have that capability when Curry is sitting.

This.

The 2019 post-season was the most brutal stretch of injuries to a single post-season team in sports history.

Not just Smart but yeah, it was pretty spectacular how all in on flopping that team is.
