Better team, Grizzlies or Celtics

Which team is better the Grizzlies or Celtics?
We Warriors fans should be the unbiassed experts on this question.
I think Eastern conference fans don’t know anything about the Grizzlies.

When Tatum isn't nullified by Wiggins, the Celtics are a better team.

In all seriousness, the Celtics are the better team. The Ja-less Grizzlies are better defensively than with but I don't think teams are necessarily prepared for them.

Yeah, I'd say Celtics are a better team but Memphis is a worse matchup for us (both are probably the 2 worst matchups in the league for us though).

When fully healthy, over a 7 game series, I’d expect Memphis to beat Boston.

These were the two teams I felt had the best chance to win the finals. I had GSW at #3 going into the playoffs. GSW had the widest possible outcome range, as the big three had played together exactly 11 minutes since 2019. It was great that GSW got to face both MEM and BOS.

As for which of MEM or BOS was better, not sure. It feels really close.

I'd agree that they are really close.
Celtics are a bit more refined. Tough defense but not hacking dudes in mid air.
Feel like the Grizz are a piece or two away, and Ja maturing/developing away from being Finals ready.
They are dangerous, but also could very easily be a move or two away from screwing it all up. Just build around that core.
So, we'll see how it goes.

It's a toss up. Grizz are more physical but the Celtics might have an edge talent wise. I really like both of those teams and the way they are being built through the draft and smart acquisitions....similar to our Dubs.

Grizz benefit from better coaching. Udoka's inability to make adjustments to counter Kerr's adjustments was glaring.

Celtics by a good margin. Grizz is the worst matchup for the Warriors, those are two different things. Styles make fights. Saying that if the teams meet again, Warriors are likely going to do things a bit differently this time around. The tactics around Ja were executed an all time horrendous level, and Loon if he's able to stay on the floor vs Ja is going to play significantly more as he started to at the end of the series.

I picked Memphis.

But I think what really happens is Warriors figured out both teams by game 3....then it was over. Ja made the Griz tougher to stop.

The Celtics are the better team. The Grizzlies were a worse matchup in large part because of the difference in styles between Ja and Tatum. That said, Steph shooting 33% from 3 against Memphis was a major factor in that matchup.

If not for the Celtics having their best quarter of the playoffs and the Warriors having their worst quarter of the playoffs at the same time in game 1 the finals go 5 games, the Celtics took a LOT more free throws because they are much better at drawing (emphasizing) fouls. The Warriors had solved the Celtics, they never solved Memphis. Memphis legit destroyed the Warriors one time and the Warriors won 2 of the games by a total of 4 points.
