Was just thinking about it. Next year is the first time in GP2s career where he's had a full year of working with a coaching staff, and next year (if he re-signs) will be the first year he'll get a chance to make the expected strides when a player gets a 2nd year with a full offseason.
His scoring and passing are where I hope he focuses.

I'm not sure he'll be back tbh. He may have very good offers elsewhere.

He’ll be back. The coaches love him.

And he loves it here, but if another team offers 10+ millions per year, he's gone. He's never had a big contract.

I doubt any other team offers that, and if they do they’ll be doing it just to screw with us.

What sort of improvement do you want from his scoring? The shot can be more consistent I guess, although I'm not sure you can expect too much in that regard. He's a great cutter and finisher around the basket too, which fits in perfectly in this system. I'm not convinced he needs to improve his scoring because off the dribble creation isn't really needed for him here.

His ability to handle and create and pass is the next logical step for his game.

Gp2 is a unique fit. He's a poa defender, but is better as a big (rollman, dunker spot) on offense.

3 point shooting pretty much. He was great this year during the regular season at almost 36%. He was insane for the post season at 54%!!!
If he shoots below 30% for 3, we will having a different conversation.

Someone mentioned that he's okay from the corners but he is not an above the break shooter.
Well the Warriors are not going to have him in the wings or the top of the key except to screen and cut, especially in the playoffs if they keep going with Curry PnR.

As Bob said, we have the advantage if the offers are close, i agree that if we will get offers in the 10-15 mil/ range he is gone.
