If one wanted to be cynical one might say Draymond did learn his lesson during the KD altercation. KD wasn't signed on yet for the coming years. Draymond's contract was going to be negotiated. Now the same situation again with Poole. Timing isn't great from that perspective too is it not?

Now it is Poole. With Poole’s extension under negotiation. Do you discipline Draymond *and* extend Poole? The optics will be ugly.

Do you not discipline Draymond for something that you usually discipline for? That will be a bad example for Kuminga Moody PBJ Rollins and Wiseman.

Do you become more conservative on the decision to extend/not extend Poole because of this BS incident? That will disrupt your team building plan for the next 4 seasons.

The only common denominator is always Draymond.
